Tracfone Samsung S150 anyone?

did anyone get their child a tracfone such as the samsung S150?

we previously bought a tracfone and dd kept hitting the button (easily) for data usage, so the minutes were used up FAST.

I think the S150 does not have data. Good.

Just wanted it for texting. Any advice from others who have kids who just need to text?

Thanks, but i think the kajeet costs signifcantly more both on the phone, and minutes. Anyone?

Try calling tracfone and ask them to turn the data off on the phone you already have since you don't want it. I wasted a few minutes within the first 30 seconds of having the phone turned on so I saw how that was going to play out in the long run and called...it took 30 minutes and the woman kept saying "it's not possible" but in the end I did get it turned off (google searches told me it was possible before I even called). I asked for a supervisor because if they weren't going to turn it off I needed to find out a way to get refunded for the phone and minutes because I knew the minutes would be gone so fast by the internet button being right above the end call button.
