Tracey's wedding weight loss attempt (comments welcome & needed!!)

Hi Tracey. Just catching up here on what's going on...

Looks like you are doing well with your exercising right now!!! That is wonderful!

I'm suprised the cops wouldn't do or say anything about that band. We've had the cops called on us before because we were doin Karaoke on the front porch and it was 10pm!

Keep up the work!
Stacie

Hey Tracey. You are doing SO well with your diet! ::yes:: I'm going to follow your lead and get back to eating healthy again too.

Sorry about the loud music. I don't understand why the police wouldn't help you with that. All they need to do is talk to the people. :headache:

You're doing great Tracey! Keep up the good work!

I hope you were able to have a restful weekend at home. Did you have any problems with the neighbors?

Have a great week ahead!

Hi Tracey,

Its good to "see" you again Wish Sister! That plainly stinks about your neighbors. Next time they do that maybe you need to do something very loud early the next day when they are asleep. I just don't get some people, I mean don't they give a crap about anybody else?

I am so proud of all that you are doing, five pounds is wonderful!

And I have to say, I have thought for awhile you need some more carbs (yeah, me the 230 pound expert on all things related to weight loss). Give it a try to add some really good carbs and see how it goes. You have nothing to lose but pounds!

Keep up your good work. Keeping my fingers crossed for your dh's job interview.

Tracey -- You are doing so great with your food choices and exercise. I don't know if this will help or not, but weight watchers' core plan is very high in protein, fruits & veggies, but also you can have a potato once a day, shredded wheat (no sugar), whole wheat pasta, brown rice & whole wheat couscous. When I was disciplined enough to follow that plan, I lost weight around my midsection very quickly. I am convinced it was the combination of protein and good carbs, as opposed to white carbs.

Keep up whatever you are doing. 5 pounds is fabulous! :woohoo:

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments & some great advice :goodvibes

I have been ill all week
hayfever started last Friday - which then went onto my chest & the pain goes through into my back (doesnt help having to sleep on lots of pillows to stop me coughing so much!!)
i've had hardly no voice all week & i've been evil to DH (did apologise for that today!)
Finally had enough & went to Dr's today - hoping to get hayfever injection as tablets dont seem to be working, that was a waste of time!
i was told i have to go private to get the injection - 1st i've heard!!
Dr said my chest was clear but then did a peak flow test - i could hardly blow into the thing - he wanted me to get it to 450 could only manage 300 - but no explanation what that meant!! gave me an inhayler ... only problem is i cant take in a big enough breath to use the darn thing!!!!

I have my 1st WI with the nurse tomorrow so i'm gonna ask her about this too!!
I did WI at home last Friday after doing a week trying to add more healthy carbs - gained 1 lb :(
& i didnt even manage to add as many carbs as she wanted me too!!
but i've carried it on till WI tomorrow!
it was just so downheartening to not loose after doing so well the 1st 2 weeks on my own..just dont know what to think now!!:confused3

Work has been manic - yes i dragged myself to work whilst feeling this lousy!!
been on 2 hectic school trips - fun but tiring ;)

Food & exercise has been good will list it all when i'm feeling more human!!

Wish me luck for the WI :worried:

Thanks Cam - slimming world seems to be popping up a lot for me lately, if the nurse stuff doesnt work i'll give one of them a go, i must say the WW food sounds yummy ;)

Tracy, Kim & Stacie - thanks  glad to report no noise from neighbours this weekend :cool1: DH soke to someone at work who knows them & was told they have recieved a warning from the council :)

DH got the job...BUT...they offered it at really lousy wages!! he was offered the wage that is supposed to be for people who need training - DH has done the job for 18 years!! It would have meant taking a £5000 pay cut - & thats NOT an option i'm afraid, so he had to turn it down :(
Oh well it wasnt meant to be!

Tracey -- So sorry you are not feeling well, sweetie! I hope the inhaler helps, even if it requires some effort to get some of that medicine into your lungs. Take good care of yourself.

You're doing GREAT, Tracey! Wow! I need the Tracey diet as I NEED to lose 10 lbs by 7/14.

Your neighbors sound horrid! Hope it gets resolved soon!!

Hi Tracey,

I hope weigh in went well. Remember, it can take a few weeks for your body to show progress on the scale. Esp. given you lost two weeks in a row, its not unusual to show a small gain after some losses. Aggravating all the same.

I am sorry the job didn't pan out for Gary. I guess you are right, its not meant to be.

I am also sorry you are feeling badly, that stinks you couldn't get the injection. I hope you are feeling better.

You asked about suriving the heat in August. My advice is either do the parks early or late. With your time difference, early is probably better! And lots of time in the pool and waterparks. We spent a lot of time in the water parks, the lazy rivers were my favorite things! You'll surive, you'll be having so much fun you don't care!

I also have to add, that dd and I shared some frozen lemonades. They are full of sugar but fat free and very refreshing. Sitting for a parade in the heat is way more enjoyable with a frozen lemonade!

Hi all

went for my WI yesterday......2 lb off :cool1:
even better though was my waist measurement...... 1 & 1/2 inches down :dance3:

Still a long way to go, but at least its going the right way!!

Also forgot to mention my other great news....... paid for WDW last week
i'm now officially poor
BUT i'm now officially going to WDW :cloud9:

Amy - thanks for the heat advice, we have planned mornings & evenings in the park, so thanks for confirming its the best thing to do :)
I'm trying to imagine it as bad as i can then hopefully i will be pleasently suprised!!!! ;)

Julie - thanks for the support i think i'm coming to realise that this weight needs to come off slowly - at one time i would have been really dissapointed with a 2 lb loss over 2 weeks!! It helps to know i'm seeing the nurse every few weeks too.
The neighbours are behaving - they're not really neighbours though - its another street thats quite a distance from us but the gardens back onto our stream

Congrats on weigh in, Tracey!!! Keep up the good work!:goodvibes

I hope you feel better soon. Maybe daydream about your WDW vacation a little....I bet that will make you feel better! ;)::yes::

Tracey, congrats on that weight loss! That and the shrinking waist must have really enforced how well you have been doing. I think your food looks great, given the wonderful food they had at the TA luncheon, you did great. I enjoyed the pictures!
