Tracey's wedding weight loss attempt (comments welcome & needed!!)

I'm so glad you were able to enjoy your party. It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend too from mom and dad. :cloud9:

:rotfl2: You know it is true love when your new DH will check your backside - he's a keeper! Seriously, I hope the rest is helping you heal and I hope your other germs go away soon too. No fun. Take Care.

Holy smokes! I go away for a few weeks and look what I miss! Firstly......I'm so sorry to hear about the pain and agony you've been going through, not to mention being the butt of all the jokes! :p I hope you're on the mend. I agree with Anna. Gary's a definite keeper!! :sunny: I'm glad your wedding party went so well and that you were able to go!!! Take care of yourself! Sending you lots of warm thoughts across the pond. :grouphug:

Boy i'm bored & fed up!
Went back to doc yesterday & they have signed me off work for the rest of the week.
I am now on antibiotics for a chest infection!!!!
I am also now comfort eating, so i'm not looking forward to getting on the scales on Friday. I havnt WI for 2 weeks (was in hospital last Friday).
Its midday & i'm not even dressed yet!
I had a bit of a pampering session this morning, i used my Decleor products in & after my shower! :teeth:
Food for yesterday (maybe it wont be as bad if i re-read what i had!)
Breakfast - earl grey & croissant, orange juice
lunch - 4 crispbreads with cheese & onion sanwich filler on, yogurt, small choc bar, bag of crisps, earl grey
Dinner - baked potato with cheese, corn cob & turkey in a creamy mushroom sauce. Cranberry juice
Evening - half a tub of cheese & chive dip with pringles

:grouphug: Wow Tracey, just catching up with you! First of all, I am soooo sorry this has all happened. I was hoping your rear was better! And now you have a chest thing going too! Gary is a keeper and it sounds like he is taking very good care of you. Your pictures are beautiful, what a great party! And that cake is gorgeous. I think cakes today are so much prettier and more elegant than what was available when I got married 14 years ago. What a great suprise your parents gave you and Gary! Please get better soon as in right now! And don't worry about the comfort food. A few chips with some dip never killed anybody and given what you have been through I'd say you have earned whatever your heart desires! Hang in there!!!

Well i just WI & i havnt gained
I was having nightmares last night that i had gained another 7lb's (on top of the 7 lbs i gained in wdw that i'm not going to attempt to lose till i feel human again & xmas is over!!)

Still coughing i'm afraid, i do feel a bit better, but i thought by now i'd be back to my old self. I wanted to try & go for a walk as i havnt set foot outside my front door for a week, but it hasnt stopped raining!! I did manage to pop to the craft shop & get some bits for the thankyou cards i'm making for everyone for the lovely wedding gifts. But it rained on the way home & i got wet!!!

I've found a really good deal for wdw for easter 2008, the TA hasnt put prices up till the following week as the hols further south are a week later! so its £1000 (nearly $2000 with the rate at the moment) cheaper! But Gary wont let me book :( Due to the fact we have no money for the deposit!! BUT he has a credit card & i can save for the remaining balance :) I keep dropping hints & telling him what a good deal it is but no luck yet!

Butt update: i can hardly feel it now, but Gary had a look last night & said it hasnt gone down anymore over the last couple of days :sad2: fingers crossed!

Food for yesterday:
breakfast - earl grey, croissant with butter & orange juice
lunch - 4 crispbreads with cheese spread & cheese on top (i love cheese!!), strawberry tart, yogurt, earl grey
dinner - chk curry, no added sugar choc dessert, cranberry juice with sugar free lemonade

oooh i didnt tell you about the wedding gift i got from my work collegues! They gave us £80 & a DISNEY TOASTER the toaster puts mickeys head on your toast & plays the mickey mouse march when it pops up!! Its AWESOME i love it, puts a smile on my face everytime i use it :teeth:

Putting my tree & decorations up tomorrow, Leanne & i always do it together whilst wearing santa hats & playing a xmas cds :)
Well off to wander aimlessly around the house again,
have a great weekend

What beautiful pictures!! I still can't get over how beautiful you look. You and Gary look so happy together. Congrats on not gaining weight! I too have had those weight gain nightmares! :rotfl2: They're not pretty!

I LOVE the gift your coworkers got for you. I can't think of a better way to start your day with Mickey toast!! I'm glad to hear you're not in as much pain. Hopefully that cough gets under control soon so you can enjoy the business of Christmas. Have a great weekend! :sunny:

Thanks cjk :)
I'm kinda depressed the wedding & everything is all over now!
Told Gary i want to renew our wedding vows in 10 years on DCL....i like to plan ahead :)
Well i went in to see TA today & the price for the wdw trip has gone up!!! I hit Gary with a brochure & said 'see you should have let me book it last week!' so back to the drawing board again!!! It was the 1st time i had set foot outside since last week, it really drained me too, boy its gonna be hard getting back to the gym when i'm finally over this!
Gary is gritting the roads tonight as they have forcast a frost & DD has gone to her dads, so i'm home alone! I want to raid the fridge so i thought i'd come online to try & take my mind off it!!
Food for today:
no breakfast
lunch - 4 crispbreads with cheese spread & cheese, yogurt, strawberry tart, earl grey
dinner - chips from the chip shop with cheese & mayo on top, small choc bar

I have some choc chip muffins in the fridge that keep calling me..just gotta resist!

tracey, based on what you have had to eat today you need some protein to cut that craving. Try some cheese or nuts.

I'm glad to hear that the pain has subsided. Hopefully the whole thing will go away soon and the chest cold will go away soon too. Take it easy. When you are ready to go back to the gym take it slow. Your body will need some time to recover and get back up to speed.

Bummer about the vacation price going up, but I love your idea of renewing your vows on DCl in 10 years. That sounds like a great idea. :cloud9:

It is understandable to be feeling down after all of the planning/excitement of your trip and wedding. Maybe think about doing a scrapbook? Your pictures are wonderful. You are all beautiful and clearly so happy and having such a wonderful time. You could pull things from your trip report for journal blocks. Actually with all you did on this trip, it may be more than one scrapbook :rotfl2: .

I love the Mickey Toaster! What a perfect gift for you. What thoughtful co-workers you have.

Have fun tomorrow putting up the tree and decorations with DD and enjoy your weekend.

Hi all
Gary has gone gritting again & DD has gone with him so home alone....again
Managed to get a bit organised for christmas today!
Did some shopping but ended up buying too much, Gary & I had decided to walk as it had finally stopped raining (more forcast for tomorrow though :() so we struggled home with 4 heavy bags each & it made my butt hurt again, hope i've not made it worse! I shouldnt have done that, Gary offered to go home & fetch the car but i said we'd manage!
Then we got all the decorations out the loft, & decorated, when Leanne got home we decorated the tree together whilst listening to Bing Crosby & wearing santa hats & then had our own tree lighting ceramony :) (we do this every year)
Gary has always lifted leanne up to put the star on the top of the tree, but this year she could reach!!! So she did it herself, that made me kinda sad, not many years left now of her childhood, this year is also the first year she hasnt mentioned santa, & from little comments i know she no longer believes, last year she was having doubts & kepting asking lots of questions like 'how can santa deliver to everyone in the world on one night?' & 'do you believe?' I dont like to lie so i always answered 'its the spirit of christmas that i believe in' We did well really, i know children aged 7 yrs in my class who already dont believe & i think thats sad, why rush to grow up, you cant get it back!!!!
After the decorations were all done i went mad & cleaned up the kitchen, dining room & lounge & scrubbed the bathroom!!! So much for taking it easy after my walk!
food today:
breakfast - croissant, earl grey
lunch - cheese & ham roll, yogurt, choc chip muffing, bag of crisps (sorry chips to you guys!)
dinner - oh my its 9pm & i've not had anything been to busy! hmmm will proberbly have some soup!

CACruisin - i love cheese so i thought i was getting plenty of protein! not had eggs in a while though, will give it a go, anything is worth a try, thanks for the advice :)

Hi Tracey, don't push too hard! Easier said than done this time of year. I love the picture of you guys doing your tree to Bing Crosy. What a nice tradition! I think my dd is also not completely if at all believing in Santa. So sad! How old is Leanne? Maria is 10 so like you, I am just happy I had a good run. Your food looks good. Did you manage to resist those muffins? Those are my favorites, if you did hats off it not don't worry about it! Hope you have a good rest of the weekend!

I'm glad you are feeling better and are able to get out of the house! My DS10 stopped believing in Santa this year, and I'm sure he will ruin it for DD7 soon (that is probably why you have 7 year olds who don't believe - their older siblings told them!!).

Loved the photos, your cake was great! When I was in Hamburg last week, it rained every day. And I had a layover at Heathrow and surprise, it was raining the whole time. I told DH that yesterday was the first day I had seen the sun in a week!

Don't worry about getting to the gym, get healthy first! :teeth:

Thanks wish buddies you brighten my day :)

Amy - fraid i didnt resist the muffins & i had some chocolate last night too :(
but i did enjoy it all :) DD is 12 yrs so we really did have a good run :)

lovinaz - I never thought about older siblings!!! Being a mum of an only child!!
Its hardly stopped raining here for over a week!!! Oh how i miss the Florida
sunshine!

I think i'm gonna right the gym off till after christmas, am i letting myself down by doing that?
I just want to get back to myself & get my energy levels back up, i'm 100% beter than a week ago but not 100% back to myself yet!
Went back to work today, but no children in school as it was a training day & we got to finish at 12.30, so it was a good day to start back :)
food for yesterday:
breakfast - croissant, earl grey
lunch - cheese & ham roll, yogurt, half a mufffin & earl grey (had a whole muffin the night before so its not as good as it looks!!)
dinner - rst beef, mashed potatos, roast potatoes & yorkshire pudding with gravy, bar of chocolate :( oh & i had some chesnuts too!

Today
breakfast - croissant, earl grey
lunch - cheese & onion sandwich filler on wholemeal bread, yougurt, small cake, piece of cheese
dinner - gonna have spagetti bolognase with sundried tomato tear & share bread!

I managed to clear out some of DD's stuff whilst i was sick, 4 disney princess dresses she has never worn, 3 disney pop dreamer dolls, 3 diva star dolls, 1 baby annabell doll with accessories & 1 interactive cinderella doll!
I managed to sell one of her dresses & the disney pop dreamer dolls to a neighbour, she took them saturday & said she would bring the money sunday & i'm still waiting!
I think i'm gonna put the other stuff on ebay, Gary has an account.

Hope everyone has a great week....not long till santa now, i'm excited & i still believe :)

You are not letting yourself down by not going to the gym. You were super busy getting ready and then taking your trip and wedding. You need to let your body recover physically and mentally. Just try and make healthy eating choices when you can't and portion control. We will all be back at it together in January.

Older DD#2 flat out asked about Easter Bunny in 2004 (she was 9.) and it all came out - Santa, bunny, tooth fairy ...

Glad you were able to ease back into work.

I agree with Anna, you don't want to push yourself back to the gym if your body is not ready! Especially with the butt stuff, you don't want to aggravate that!!!

We all can just do our best until the end of the year, then join the rest of the world with their New Year Resolutions (the gym is always extra packed the first couple months of the year here, is it the same there?)

Hang in there, only a couple more weeks of parties and extra temptations! :teeth:

Yep same here too!!!

Well i got to work today & the boiler had broken down so all the children got sent home, but we had to stay all day & work in a freezing building, just what i need when i've just about recovered from a chest infection!!! Last day of antibiotics today!
Still it was nice to catch up on all the jobs that had built up whilst i was off sick!
Been to church tonight to watch DD in her choir concert, it was lovely, they really are a good choir! I couldnt stop staring at her & thinking how beautiful she is & how lucky i am :goodvibes

Food: (i seem to have started listing it again!!! - it does seem to help)
breakfast - croissant, earl grey
lunch - cheese & onion sandwich filler on 2 slices of wholemeal bread, yogurt, piece of cheese, small cake & low sugar hot choc drink
Dinner - baked potato with chk & bacon, small choc bar.

Hope everyone is having a good week :thumbsup2

Tracey, definitely more than okay to write off the gym until after the holidays. Given your recent health woes the last thing you need to do is run yourself ragged and get sick again. Good job listing your food, it does help immensely to write it down. And glad your dd's concert went well, she is so beautiful you are right to feel proud!

I need to vent & let off steam :furious:
One of the teachers i work with is doing my head in!!!!
She cant bear to see me enjoying myself or sitting still for a minute!!!
She expects me to work through my break & work well past the time i'm paid to work till!
Now i dont mind staying behind a bit - when its appreciated or not 'expected' but she is paid to do the extra hours - i'm not!!! I am always at work early too.
I set the classroom up for an activity this afternoon & the teacher was taking the class into the hall to watch the younger childrens nativity play. The TA next door came through after the teacher had gone to ask if i was going to watch it too, i said i hadnt been asked, she said her teacher had said it was ok, so i said ok as i had set up & was finished, i jokingly said knowing her the teacher would give me a job to do whilst i was watching it!!
Guess what...she did, she came over & asked me to mark 30 times tables sheets with 100 questions on each sheet!! The other TA & a student offered to help so the teacher also took some to mark, everytime i looked up she wasnt marking & when the play was done i ended up marking the rest too that she hadnt done (she only marked about 3!)
Then at home time, i finish between 3.15 & 3.30pm (paid till 3.15) at 3.45 i put my coat on & said bye! I heard her shout me but pretended i hadnt heard, i get into the playground & she had followed me out, wanting to know if i had set the classroom up for tomorrow morning, i said yes but the pics she wanted me to scan hadnt been done as i had told her yesterday that the scanner wasnt working, so she said ' oh i will have to stop & do that then' so i said 'ok bye see you tomoorow' & left arrrrgh :furious: :furious: :furious:

She gives me lists of stupid jobs, like checking all the felt tip pens to see which ones have run out!!! I didnt spend 3 yrs at college for that!!!
The children are supposed to do jobs like that, as it encourags indepedence!
I dont mind doing it, its just when i'm expected to do it on top of all the other jobs she wants doing!! :furious:
Ok vent over, but i'm still angry!

food
b/fast - mickey toast :goodvibes with strawberry jam, earl grey
break - hot choc drink
lunch - sandwich, yogurt, small cake, piece of choc fudge cake that child had bought into school :)
dinner - pepperoni pizza & fries, small chco bar, bag of cheesy wotsits
see all that stress made me eat too much!!!

I'm listening to 'My Chemical Romance' album 'The Black Parade' very good :)
Ok off to de-stress, sorry to go on & thanks for 'listening'

Wow that teachers sounds like a real charmer! Just keep holding firm, do what you can in the time you are paid to do it and don't let her take advantage of you! I am getting a funny picture of you just walking out pretending you don't hear her! I didn't think your eating via stress was too bad. It could have been much worse. Just hang in there and don't take any you know what off that woman! I leave tomorrow so I'll see you when I get back, keep up your hard work. And I haven't heard you mention it lately so I assume your butt is better! I hope so!

Wow, I don't blame you for being frustrated with that teacher! Is there anyone that can play mediator and you can all sit down and make sure it's known who is supposed to be doing what? Sounds like she needs a reality check... Don't let her get to you and stick to your guns!

What the heck are cheesy wotsits? I'm sure they are lovely...
