Mon 20th

We packed up the following morning (much to the girls’ disgust) and drove up to the 192 to Lindfields and found the Office at Mango Key. The correct lockbox was indeed there – not in Davenport – along with our directions to ‘our’ villa on Florida Pines – way back down SR27:rolleyes .
I suppose if we’d gone straight to our villa we’d have been impressed but compared to Lorre’s it was ‘ordinary’. Everything was bland and a bit clinical & didn’t feel homely and welcoming. I felt the space was poorly allocated - the master bedroom was huge with a large ensuite but the second double room was small and shared a much smaller bathroom with the two twin rooms. When you have two families sharing it wasn’t exactly ideal. We filled out the rental agreement and returned it to the office (The general attitude was very ‘don’t care’ – I was told that last night’s problem would be passed on and they’d get back to me) then headed off to the Ponderosa for breakfast before returning to get settled in properly.

The rest of the day was spent visiting the Haines City Walmart, unpacking, swimming and generally getting settled in.

…Next instalment – Seaworld.

Day 3 - Seaworld

I bet you were glad to finally get to the villa.
