"5"]Mimi and I went to hang out on Main Street and find a place for lunch. Along the way we spotted that parade that pops up quickly- I forgot the name. She liked watching.
Then we stepped into a few stores to take a look around. When she spotted the balloons I quickly bought one. Tom and I had discussed this ahead of time. Although she couldn't take it home on the plane, we knew it would make her happy while we were there. She chose a red one and proceeded in getting that black Mickey head weight stuck in her stroller wheel about ten times!
When Tom and Evie caught up with us we headed to Main Street Bakery for lunch. Tom got the GINORMOUS turkey sandwich and I got the equally mammoth ham sandwich. We split these with the girls. I knew Evie wanted a cupcake of her own, so we used a snack credit for hers and got ours for dessert.
They got the cookies and cream cupcakes, while I got the delicious red velvet indecency. YUM! After getting our fill we headed back to Tomorrowland. Evie and I have always wanted to go on the Astro Orbiter and it didn't have much of a line so we went on. It was fun, but I'm glad I've never stood in a long, hot line for it. When we got off Evie saw Stitch. She was happy because earlier while I was waiting for her and Tom to get off of Space Mountain Mimi got her picture taken with him. While it took Mimi awhile to warm up to him, Evie went right up to him for her autograph and pics.
It was around 1 or so and finally warming up so we were able to take off one layer of our fleece! After hitting Buzz once more we were going to head over to ToonTown. We still had a FP for BTMRR, so Evie and I went over to that land while Tom took Mimi to Toon Town. On the way we had our second incident with the BATTERIES. We saw a short line for Ariel and Eric and Evie wanted to wait. After about a five to ten minute wait, it was our turn. AND THE LOW BATTERY WARNING CAME ON!!! I quickly snapped three not so great hurry up before the battery runs out pictures.
The batteries held on until that evening when they died while visiting DD.
We loved our ride on BTMRR. Evie noted that the one water feature was on, so we ducked when going near it. We headed over to Toon Town and noticed a girl with her face painted. During my two previous visits I never noticed the face painting stand and STILL didn't. I asked someone where they got it done so that we could take the girls to get it done. Tom and Mimi were just getting off of Goofy's Barnstormer. She loved it so we all went on together. It was such a joy to see her excitement with the roller coaster. Evie insisted that we see Minnie's house, which cracked me up because of all things to remember doing and insist on doing again! To be honest, I hate going there and I couldn't tell you why.
I lost Mimi in there when she decided that lines didn't pertain to her. People were nice enough to point me in her direction. Luckily, she didn't want to visit the kitchen, but instead headed to Minnie's garden. After, she needed a potty break. Then we headed over to get their faces painted. Since it was vacation I wanted to let them do the things that I never let them spend money on around town. My cousin lets her children get their faces painted every time they go to the zoo, but I am a mom that is MEAN! We save our extras for vacation. That way they don't expect it all the time and for me it's a special thing.
They loved their faces so much! Oddly enough Evie requested another restroom break right after. While waiting the twenty seconds it took her to go, I realized that she just wanted to look in the mirror. I showed her the brush/mirror combo I had when she came out and I think she blushed under all of that paint. We headed home for a short break before heading off to dinner at DD.
