TR with the Man Who Said He Would NEVER Go To Disney! COMPLETE!!! 12/3-12/10 NEW 5/19

The next morning was bitter sweet. We were made aware that the windchill at home was -20 degrees! We would be going through a 100 degree difference in the climate :( We got everything packed up and headed over to Jambo for our last reservation in Disney. Breakfast was going to be at Boma.

It was the perfect breakfast. While eating, I got a text from Southwest saying that our flight would be delayed about 20 minutes. No problem.

We got back to Kidani and did a little last minute shopping in the gift shop. They had a hot breakfast set up in there as well.

We went back up to the room to relax for a bit before check out time.

DD played with her Elsa doll that DS and I had picked out the previous night before leaving MK.

The kids watched some Sofia while I enjoyed my leftover sushi and fell asleep for a bit... I was beat.

We called bell services and had everything taken down to the lobby. My dad and sister took a seat in one of the side rooms... the kids and I set off to explore the resort a bit more. We took the elevator down a floor to see Sanaa.

I really, really want to eat here! Can't wait for it!

We could see our room from the back of the resort.

We checked out the game room... this was shortly after Paul Walker's death :(

The community room was really neat, lots to do.

We found a Manitowoc ice machine. My sister works there :)

We then took a walk over to the pool area. The kids wanted to play on the playground a bit. I decided to go to the bar and order a drink. I felt like I would need liquid motivation to face the 100 degree difference that was coming my way.

On our walk back to the resort, I snapped these pictures of the beautiful flowers.

It was finally that time :(

No one was happy.

Our trip was over. We were home.

This was the best trip ever. I always say that after a trip but it's so true. We did so many new things... MVMCP, staying “deluxe”, renting points, paying for DxDP, Disapalooza, magic bands, etc.

We walked over 30 miles according to my pedometer. My dad never refused to go on a ride.

I'm so glad he went with us and got to see everything.

Since we've been back, everytime he sees Disney on tv, he makes a huge deal out of it. He says “I was right there, standing in that spot!” lol...

I will be going back in only 3 days for my 31st birthday. I'm going to surprise my son and take him with. He has no idea!!! Can't wait to start that trip report :) Thanks for reading along!

I loved reading this trip report!
All the outfits were so cute!
And your Disney celebration at the beginning was great.
We used to live in Wisconsin so it is always fun to read reports from people in our old state. :goodvibes

Great trip report, thanks for sharing!

Glad your dad had a great time! Looks like all of you did.

Have a great trip! That is so cool you are surprising your son! He is going to love it, have a great time!

Thank you!!! I have started my next trip report now... it will be in my signature in a second :) We had the BEST time. Every time we go, I keep thinking something will ruin one of these trips and then it's better than the last.

Thank you for this awesome trip report! I am going around the same time this year as you did (Dec 5-10) and really looking forward to the Christmas deco and hopefully less crowds! Was wondering how long the "headliner" rides wait times were without a FP?

No prob! The wait times weren't too bad (keep in mind that regular FP's were still available along with the FP+) Things have changed quite a bit now. We always do rope drop and I think that helps eliminate any crazy long lines. Of course the bigger rides (Test Track, Soarin', Space Mountain, etc.) always had close to an hour or longer.

Just having gone this past Memorial Day weekend now, I was figuring we wouldn't get on a lot of stuff but the FP+ system worked great for us. We had no issues at all (other than wifi not working well). December is a great time to go! Have fun!

Thank you for sharing your trip with us! I enjoyed it very much. Happy Birthday and many many more!
