GOOD MORNING! Reporting from Hilton Head.....checked in Sunday afternoon, about 4:00, room was ready (as it should be by 4). We are in building 13, and it's an awesome location for an all adult party....marsh view.

Room was extremely clean on arrival. Windows look like there not even there, and the slats on the blinds are all dusted. Bathroom clean,(although I, of course, ran bleach through the jacquzzi before I used it), porch, etc.
Our friends love it here, as do we.

First night was raining, but we walked over to Shelter Cove and had dinner at the seafood/steakhouse, (not Kings...the one across from it, don't remember the name :drinking1;)

Second day, Monday, we walked down to the beach house. Great walk! Gorgeous day, awesome beautiful treelined street. Amazing beach day, we didn't really expect it. We went down there with sweatshirts, and wound up laying around in tank tops instead. We had our own beach chairs and umbrellas, sandwiches, etc. so the guys drove all of that down for us so we could enjoy the walk without carrying anything. We even later picked up the dog from the boarding facility and took him for a walk on the beach, he loved it!

We had lunch out of the cooler because no one wanted to leave the beach! Came back to the room to relax and headed out to NY Pizza for italian. My party liked it, I just ate a salad, the dressing was gross (all oil, balsamic was all garlic, yuk)

We brought tons of food with us, usually when it's just my husband and I, we only bring morning food, so this is a change for us, but very convenient. Last night we made apple turnovers (pillsbury) in the oven, and we've been cooking breakfast and making sandwichs or salads for lunch, and just going out for dinner. Tonight we're going to go to the Low Country Boil at the beach house :thumbsup2, tomorrow, probably the beach again:cool1:, (awesome weather!!), and Thursday, Harbortown before heading home.

Been hanging out in the hammock, so conveniently located next to our 2 bedroom villa, and sitting on the balcony in the afternoons. It's so peaceful and beautiful. We are VERY happy with our location, the hospitality of the CM's and our villa.

Will post more tomorrow, here's a couple of pics of the view from our room....

Sounds like a perfect trip so far (lovin' the pictures). We hope to say at Hilton Head in 2012 - the more I read and see about the resort, the more I can't wait to stay there. Here's hoping your good weather continues. :goodvibes

Beautiful pictures, we love HHI.

How does the ocean water feel at this time of year?

So lovely! We're usually in a 1 BR, and we've often overlooked your building. I've always wondered what the view was like from there. Please keep the TR coming-we love HHI and enjoy living through your reports until we get there in November. If you get a chance, have a cranberry nut cookie for me. And be sure to say "Hi" to Dottie and Gordon in the General Store for us and tell them we'll look forward to seeing them again for Thanksgiving.

We'll be there Sunday and your trip report is perfect timing for me to really get excited! It looks like you are going to have a great week of weather---hope it hold out for us! Have a great time! By the way, the seafood restaurant you ate at across from the resort the first night, was it good and worth trying?

I just today booked a studio for a month from now- any info you have is very appreciated!:goodvibes We have been there before but it was in January.

We are headed to HHI June 6 for 4 nights. We have stayed in 13 and liked it also,(loved your pics) but we really love building 29, 30 they are at the end andquiet and we have had a great view of the entrance to shelter cove and watched dolphins and morning kayaker from our porch with our morning coffee..can't beat that! I am ready for some relaxation..we under under flood watch here in MA and it been pouring for 2 days! Sounds like you are having a blast.

Howdy neighbor, we're in building 14 right now!! I agree with the weather and the beach. I also just started my own Live report, we are a family with 3 kids so it will be interesting to see where we differ.

Hi DeeCee,

I see you are from Long Island me too:thumbsup2. Anyway I do have a couple of questions for you about Hilton Head. We are thinking of going next April for Easter break.

1. Did you drive down and if so how was the drive did you divide the drive to 2 days or did you just go for it and go straight through?

2. Do you own at HH and if so, how hard was it to get into HH at 7 months for a holiday week?

3. Are a lot of the stores open in the area, do you feel there is enough to do outside of Disney HH the reason why I ask is that we are people who do use the resorts but love to venture out and sight see a bit.

4. How crowded is the resort / and Hilton Head area if you have ventured out of disney HH??

any info would really help me decide for next year, Thanks :goodvibes

Yes, it's called Scotts, and it was very good. They were also very accommodating. I'm not a seafood lover, and I'm watching what I eat, so I ordered the filet mignon, but wanted it over a salad and they did it for me. It was delicious. We also had a window seat overlooking the marina! it was great!

Hi! Ocean water is still pretty chilly. I see the kids playing only in the ankle deep water, not to many people swimming, but sitting at the ocean is absolutely gorgeous!

Add me to the list of people wanting to know for the same reason-we're also considering HHI for next Easter (Easter next year also happens to be our anniversary). I know that Thanksgiving is kind of hard to get at 7 months (maybe more so for us, since we're looking for a 1 BR). I heard that there was an Easter Brunch at the beach house a few years ago. Is this a yearly thing? We're also concerned about how crowded the island is at Easter-at Thanksgiving the resort's busy, but not the island, so we've been spoiled. dis2cruise, maybe we'll see you there next year!

Hi Diane. It was so great to meet you tonight. Glad you stopped by campfire on your way out to dinner. Have a safe trip home. Love your pictures!

We love Scott's! We actually had NYE dinner there when DS was young(10) and they were great with him getting something he enjoyed and we had great meal and service. Have been back twice since then and same service/food.
