Fun updates!!

I know...I wish I has just gotten one of everything!! haha

Update: The day after my aunt passed, a unit on the second floor of my apt. building caught fire! So I've been super busy and haven't had time to finish my TR and it got moved to the completed section :( I'm trying to get it moved back so I can finish it before I go back to FL in 2 days!!

Yay! My trip report has come back to life!! Thanks OhMari!! Day 5, Part 2 will be up shortly and I will post my last day tomorrow along with a very mini pre-trip report before I hit the road to go back to Disney!!!

Once the rain had stopped, we were on a boat over to Ft. Wilderness.

We loved this place!! We definitely hope to stay there sometime, especially if the weather is nice and we need to keep a trip cheap!

Shortly after we arrived the rain came back so instead of walking to the sing-a-long area we waited for the bus. We didn't wait much longer than 5-10 minutes before a bus came along. We were dropped off just outside of the sing-a-long area and we found some seats. I had planned on buying a s'mores kit, but it was $10 and made 8 s'mores. Casey doesn't eat s'mores so it would have been a waste. I used a snack credit to get nachos with cheese instead. We didn't take any pictures of the camp fire or the area, sorry :(

We heard thunder and saw lightning in the distance and Casey felt ackward being the only adults without children there, so we left. :( As soon as we got under the shelter of the bus stop, it started to pour again!! The show went on though and we could hear it from where we sat, so it was nice. We waited a bit longer for a bus this time and headed back over Pioneer Hall.

We had a bit of a wait before the show started so we just found a spot to sit while we waited. We were first in line to be seated (that doesn't really matter, because tables are reserved) and we were given the table right smack dab in front of the stage. It was almost too close!

We had salad and corn bread waiting for us when we sat down (both very yummy). These are the only pictures of food I got the whole night...I couldn't take myself away from the show!

The show was a blast, the food was good, and the sangria was free (well, kind of)!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Definitely worth the two table service credits. There was a bus waiting for us when we got out. We were the last stop, which stunk, because the bus was as cold as a freezer! We went straight to bed so we could be up the next day for our 8 a.m. breakfast at 1900 Park Fare!!

Up Next: Day 6: Our last day :(

We were up bright and early this morning to catch the bus over to MK where we jumped on the monorail. Casey was very excited to rail the monorail! After a few minutes, we were here:

Gosh that place is beautiful!!

I didn't feel fancy enough to be there!! Even the bathrooms were really fancy!

The buffet:

Our server came over and offered us orange juice, but Casey had to have his chocolate milk and she told us how the characters would be working their way around. Then we were off to get food!!

The strawberry soup was soooo yummy!! I don't normally try new things, but I heard great reviews and just had to try it. The rest of the buffet was pretty much just normal breakfast food.

First to come around was Winnie-the-Pooh

Then I spotted Tigger!! Casey's face lit up like a Christmas tree when I told him this...he looooves Tigger!

Then came Alice and Mary...I always feel a little ackward with characters that are actually people. I never know what to say to them :confused3

I would like to try dinner at 1900 Park Fare sometimes, because I hear the show is a hoot! The breakfast was very good though, and I would recommend it :)

Up next: Day 6, Part 2: Our day at Magic Kingdom

Many people say a Disney vacation doesn't start until you visit MK, but I disagree. I do love Magic Kingdom, but it's not the same for two adults as it was when I was a kid. I was especially dissapointed that Space Mountain was closed :( Casey did suprise my by wanting to go on all of the "kid" rides even this...
DSC02057.jpg

We both really enjoyed Monster's Inc Laugh floor and Peter Pan's Flight was really cute...too short though. After going on Toy Story Midway Mania, Buzz Lightyear's Spaceranger Spin was kind of a waste of time...you couldn't even tell if you were hitting any of the targets :confused3

Casey seemed to really like ToonTown...he took tons of pictures!! Here's a few!

We were pretty well done with rides by 2 o'clock and decided to head back to the Pop Century for lunch and a quick nap. The nap lasted a little longer than we had hoped and we rushed back to MK to grab some dinner before almost missing Wishes! Sorry I don't have any pictures of the food :( They say you can see Wishes from anywhere in the park, but that is pretty much a lie. We were over in Tomorrowland and had to peer through trees to see anything. Kind of a bummer on our last night. Casey really liked the way the castle changed colors and took about 20 pictures!! Here are just a couple:

After that we were just going to walk around, but the crowds were crazy. I hadn't seen any park that crowded all week...even during the day MK wasn't that bad. So we called it a night, went back to our room and packed our bags :sad1:

ME picked us up around 5:45 and I slept the entire way to the airport. We were there very early so we grabbed some food from McDonald's and waited.

I am now waiting for my mom to pick me up so we can start the 18 hour drive to Florida!! I know it will take closer to 22 hours, because we'll have to stop to change the girls every few hours, but it's okay!! Our first day we will be going to Magic Kingdom and plan to head over to the Beach Club to have lunch or dinner at Beaches and Cream. We'll then spend 3 or 4 days going to Universal and IoA. We plan on resort hopping a bit, because I want to see POR and POFQ. We're also going to head over to the Boardwalk so I can see Sea Breeze Point!! I also hope to go to DTD once or twice, because I have never been.

This may be the last time I get to go to FL before the wedding (which even through we're not technically engaged yet, we're hoping to have in early December 2010). I hope that's not the case, but we'll see!

Talk to you all in 10 days!!

DisneyMissy, loved your TR!!
Are you back yet from your June trip??
:yay: Can't wait to hear all about it!!:flower3:

I am back and I just got all of the pictures from my mom's camera last night, so I will begin my trip report tomorrow

Thanks for sticking around! It was a lot of fun, but much slower paced than the last trip.

Sorry I've been so lazy with this TR...to be honest, it won't be as exciting as the last. We left around 5 p.m. on Saturday June 20th and didn't get into Orlando until about 7 the following evening (it should be an 18 hour drive!!). We had originally planned to go to Magic Kingdom on Monday, but decided to make Monday a lazy day and hang by the pool most of the day instead. We stayed at Westgate Town Center and it was really nice. My mom used her points from her vacation club for it, so she only $150 for the week for a one bedroom. It had a full kitchen, living room, patio, large bedroom, whirlpool tub, and two full bathrooms so it accommodated the 4 adults and two little ones just fine (they gave us a porta crib for the baby).

Last minute my older brother, his wife, and two kids decided to join us so they drove down the same day. They stayed at the Westgate Vacation Villas and said they weren't nearly as nice as Town Center. We all decided to head to Beaches and Cream that evening for dessert. We were told the wait would be two hours so we took our buzzer and worked our way around the Boardwalk. I got to see Sea Breeze point and the Attic, which made me very excited :goodvibes. My 11 year old nephew was chosen to be part of a little skit and it was hilarious!!

As soon as we got back to the Beach Club, our buzzer went off and we sat down for some very yummy ice cream. I had a strawberry shortcake, my brother and his wife had the No Way Jose (I think that is what it was called) and my mom and all of the kids had milk shakes. We all enjoyed our ice cream very much. The baby got her first taste of ice cream and boy did she like it!! We finished eating right around 9 so we went outside to watch the fireworks from IllumiNations. I hope to go back to Beaches & Cream on my next trip and try the food too!

Here are a few pics from the evening, be warned: my mom took all of the pictures!

Hi there! I am finally all caught up. It seems like the wait for Beaches & Cream is always crazy! It's good you got in. The No Way Jose is the bomb! So good....I wish I could have one right now. How nice that your family got to join you.

I was really feeling Strawberry Shortcake that night otherwise I would have had the No Way Jose...I will definitely be getting that next time! When I was researching the menu I found a website on how to make your own No Way Jose. Here it is: http://www.diningindisney.com/disney-recipe-no-way-jose-ice-cream-sundae/ It probably won't be the same, but it's worth a try!

I have loved reading your TR. Makes me want Sept. to get here quickly.

Thanks!! I'm glad you've enjoyed it! I'm sure September will be here before you know it! Is it your 2 year old's first trip? I loved being there with my two neices. It was so fun to see the excitement and awe on their faces.
