TPAS2 Alumni and friends thread

Well since she does not like WDW she probably thinks it is stupid. Just like when I wanted to purchase DVC when it first came out and you got free annual passes. Man, if we would have done that it would be golden.

Thinking of having my two sisters and me split the costs and we can share in the vacations when one of us cant make it wdw that year.

That is such a great idea.........I wish I knew other people as crazy as me! Here is what I'm thinking (Trek feel free to give me your opinion on this)......obviously the people who already bought into DVC are many of the biggest WDW fans there are. I think many of those people are going to be the ones looking to get in on Bay Lake Tower. If that is the case, chances are they will be looking to unload their current DVC. If the DVC resale inventory goes up, the price will come down. If that happens I may be able to pick one at a really great price. I just hope everyone and their brother isn't thinking the same thing.:confused3

Good point about the head in the sand, linus. :rotfl2:

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm being busy and tired, but life is good. :thumbsup2

Cruz, that is a pretty good plan. Disney does have right of first refusal so that will keep the prices somewhat stable but if there is a flood into the marketplace they will have to let prices come down somewhat.

Go Sox.

Hey all -

Long time no type :lmao:

Trek - glad to hear that you are all ok....keep up posted if there is anything we can do. I cannot donate blood (had hepatitis A).

Tig - you really don't want to stickyour head in the sand....think of the sand fleas on yer hair and ears....EeEEeEeeewwwwwwwwwww  :rotfl2:

Cruz - WTG on noticing the free dining before it gets sold out!!! Hoping wic can bag the deal too!!!

As for me it has just been incredibly busy here. I am no longer a SAHM. I work outside the house from 9-2 M, T, TH, F doing a/p, a/r and invoicing (as well as filing and other office basics) for a mid sized construction company. I can make my own hours and am only expected to work 15-20 hours a week. All three kids are in school all day now. Frank the Tank is doing the whole football thing again. He is starting MLB or Saftey for his PeeWee AA team. That practice is 3 nights a week this year with his games at the buttcrack of dawn (8AM) on Saturdays :scared1: .

Other than that all is going rather well here......and I had to LMAO with the special raffle going on for homecoming this year. Cruz and wic popped right in to my head. Go ahead...guess what these looneys are doing. It has to do with a cow. Go ahead....I'll wait :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

COW PIE BINGO

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :thumbsup2

That's awesome, and funny too! Go figure she thinks of us first though Cruz!

I can't get the free dining, because we are exchanging our timeshare for the DVC. But we can buy into it at a pretty good price I think....it's going to cost the 3 of us about $87 a day for the dining plan!

I'm outta here now though, before I get busted for internet abuse again! :rolleyes1

Hey T&B,

Hope all is well......email me sometimes and we can chat! :thumbsup2 Emails I can do without getting in trouble!:headache:

My sister won the Red Sox ticket lottery and got two tickets to the game at Fenway on Tuesday. She is going to fly up to Boston on Tuesday and then meet up with my other sister who lives in NJ. They should have a blast rooting for the Sox.

That is awesome!!!!!

Okay guys one month to go!!!! I'm just toooooo excited!:dance3:

Wic, did you get in on the free dining?

That's great Trek, how come your sister didn't take you though? :confused3

I tried to get in on the free dining, but because we are exchanging a timeshare for a disney DVC...we can't. But we can purchase the dining plan at the DVC rate, which comes out to about $88 a day for the 3 of us, which we don't think is bad. Plus we'd be staying at a DVC with a full kitchen, so we wouldn't need to use the dining plan everyday....my lovely husband thinks I'm going to cook while I'm down there (wishful thinking on his part, I'm on vacation)! :rolleyes1 So $88 a day for 6 days....I can handle that! :thumbsup2

$88 a day is not bad at all! We were not going to do the dining plan at all....of course that is until we got it free. DH and I got AP's for the trip so we were just going to use the DDE card. Now we will do both! I am really happy we got it because I think the rest of our group would have had a tough time getting over the sticker shock at some of the restaurants. Oh, and I'm with you......vacation and cooking do not even belong in the same sentence! Unless you do a lot of signature restaurants, the DDP will feed you all just fine, there will be no need to cook.

Exactly, and I don't mind cooking maybe a breakfast in the room...once or twice, but I'm not cooking full fledged meals while I'm on vacation! Ain't gonna happen! Mom's off duty, once I step on WDW property! :rotfl2:

Now that's a platform to run on!!!!!!:goodvibes

Cooking on vacation? Who would even think of such an idea. Doing some breakfast cereals in the morning or such I can see. What, send Mom back to the condo early so she can have our dinner waiting for us when we are done having our fun at the Magic Kingdom. Ha Ha.

As I always say to my DH and DS's, Whats my favorite song??.....................................................................................................................and they reply..........................................................................................................................I know................................................................................DREAM ON!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Trek, how cool for your sister! :yay:

Wic, things are going well. I'm struggling more than I ever imagined in Spanish and am going to drop the class until next semester. Other than that, things are going great. LOTS of things to do for my classes the next couple weeks, but now that I won't have to spend time on the Spanish I'll do ok.

GO RED SOX! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Last nights game was great, Thursday nights game was even better! Let's hope Red Sox Nation is alive and happy tomorrow morning! :woohoo:

hey trek,

so sorry about the bosox.

but I am secretly just a tad bit thrilled we have to face Tampa - we didn't stand a chance against the Sox.

Go PHILLIES!!! :dance3:

Looks like the Phillies are too tough but it is not over yet. Rays need Longoria and Pena to get back on track.

We have a new puppy and training it is hard. This is the first time I have ever been involved with a puppy. Any hints on training? The puppy's name is Tessie (Red Sox reference) and she is a Coton de Tulear.

Congrats on the puppy, trek! What kind of dog? I haven't had a puppy in many years, so wouldn't be any help.

The other day I saw the funniest thing. I was driving with two friends as passengers. One friend was telling a serious story and the other friend started to laugh. We didn't know what she was finding so funny in the story, but we realized what she was laughing at when we looked up. There was a convertible going down the road, with the top down, with what looked like a gigantic black dog driving. :rotfl2: The dog was sitting up so tall in the front seat we couldn't see the driver on the other side of the dog. We laughed SO hard about that.
