Friends, my family and I are safe and our house is fine too. We had power restored yesterday so we are in great shape compared to most in the area. The hurricane was frightening. A large oak is up against my neighbors house and his house is damaged. The oak knocked his chimney off and it landed between our houses. It just missed my son's room.
Houston and the whole SE Texas area is in bad shape but water and supplies are pouring in. Neighborhoods are banding together to share supplies in a real Texas can do spirit.
If you want to do something to help you can donate blood if you can. You can also donate to the Red Cross. Keep rooting for the Red Sox too!

So I keep plugging away.

we decided to postpone! We are looking at going in December now though, we have some timeshare points we need to use or lose before Dec 31, so we're considering going then!
