TPAS2 Alumni and friends thread

Just learned that for our company Christmas party this year the band will be The Doobie Brothers. That is pretty cool. Last year we had Clay Walker.

No way really? The real Doobie Brothers are playing for your Christmas Party, what the heck company do you work for???????
:woohoo:

Yep, the real Doobie Brothers. I work for Anadarko Petroleum. It should be a pretty good party.

Wow, that's pretty cool! I work for Tyco, we don't get Christmas parties anymore! We used to have pretty good Christmas parties...then Tyco bought us, and we get nothing now!

Im self employed, so not only do I not get anything......I make and send giftbaskets to my contacts, clients, and others that help me throughout the year. This year I have 18 to send, and that is down from the 22 I sent last year.

Here is a funny story, my hubby works for Philips (the one who makes the TV's, but his division make medical products) last year his boss told him the company was going to treat for lunch on their last work day before xmas. He handed them a menu for a Chinese restaurant and told them to pick a combination plate. They all did and the next day he announced that he was only given a budget of $5 per person, and each of them would have to pay the difference. My husband not so politely declined and ended up working through lunch and leaving early.
We just thought why did they even bother???:confused3

That is pretty pathetic! We do a pot luck lunch the day before Christmas here, but it's all on us...the employee's! Corporate doesn't pitch in a dime for this! What I find amusing is that employee's from other local divisions just happen to "show" up at our facility on this day..looking for a free meal!

Cruz, that is pathetic. It is better to do nothing than do something like that. It is just insulting.

Hope everyone is having a good November. I wonder how those DIS gals are doing in WDW?

Okay Guys Im getting excited................on Thursday I will be exactly one year from my next WDW trip!!! Right around the corner!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Here is a funny story. I went to the Houston Dynamo offices to pick up my playoff tickets and while I was at the receptionist desk a very attractive young lady walks by and I say hi. I ask the receptionist if Ana Scarborough is available and she tells me that is the person who just walked by!! We did not recognize each other from our posted pics. I guess it was because I was in a suit and she was not wearing her princess dress.

So, we sort of finally met each other. Isn't that too funny.

That's funny!

Did you see that we re-signed Schilling? :woohoo:

Now they have to re-sign Lowell! :thumbsup2

I heard on some news show that A-Rod said the only team he would really consider playing for is the Red Sox....Red Sox Nation does not want him here at all, and looking at all the poster boards that were at the parade, I think management knows that now too! :rotfl2: Fenway Park is not big enough for A-Rod's ego!

Wic, you are so wrong. Fenway could use A-rod. Last time I went there were not enough beer vendors.

So you want us to bring A-Rod in, so we can hire more beer vendors? If we bring in A-Rod, he's going to be dodging flying beer cups while he's out in the field!

Is there a new WPASADI game going on? You all realize that it was just about one year ago that the TPAS2 team was formed.

I was thinking more of hiring him as a beer vendor!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He'd still get beer thrown at him at Fenway! :lmao:

It really is kind of funny when you see editorials in the papers here about A-Rod, nobody wants him here!
