Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!:grouphug:

It has been a busy morning here so far... My DD7 went down to my parents' house to get the newspaper for me so we could do our Drug Store deals today....Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid. I've spent the past two hours matching up coupons with the ads and my DH went out to get the stuff. Lots of great deals to be had!:thumbsup2

I'm not sure if we will go out tomorrow or not. Once I'm done posting here, I'll take a look at the other Black Friday ads and see if there is anything worth going out for.

Today, we'll get the drug store deals done, watch the Macy's T Day parade, head to my grandma's stop by a Christmas lighting display, come home, put up our tree and decorate the house, and watch Charlie Brown and It's a Wonderful Life.

I want to thank you all for the love, encouragement, and friendship that you bring to my life. I am so thankful for each and every one of you!:grouphug:

Happy Thanksgiving!:grouphug:

Sounds like you have a wonderful, relaxing day planned. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! :hug:

Good morning friends,

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday. :goodvibes Ours was very nice. :thumbsup2 Food, football, and family...Awesome time!:thumbsup2

We also managed to get our tree up and house decorated last night as well. :santa:

Today's Plan....Well, there isn't much of one. I never got around to checking the Black Friday ads so I'm not even sure if there is anything I want. :confused3 I still have to finish my Christmas shopping, but I'm not sure that today will be the day for that. We'll have to wait and see.

Weigh-in showed a 1.4 pound loss. I didn't eat much yesterday or else the scale would have showed at least a 1.4 pound gain. ;)

Hope everyone has a nice day!:grouphug:

Congrats on the loss! During the biggest food holiday of the year, no less! :cool1::banana::cheer2::woohoo:

Thanks Amy!:hug:

Only 11 more days to go......

When I realized that this morning, I was more like this: :scared1: than like this: :woohoo: . I thought I had more time than we really have until we leave. I need to make a list of things that need to get done....Pack, pay bills, stop mail, find someone to take care of the guinea pig, e.t.c. (Missing our doggies in a big way right now! :sad1: ) I'm looking to finish Xmas shopping before we leave so I'll need to get that done as well.

Today's Plan:
* Vacation Planning List
* Finish Christmas Shopping
* Work on CVS and Walgreens scenarios for tomorrow (have over $40 in ECBs and $32 in Register Rewards to try and "roll")
* Pay Bills
* Wrap Coins from Jar/Go to the bank
* Stop at Blockbuster (See below)

Okay, so it looks like we have a lot of running around to do today. No problem...I'll work on a plan and get everyone on board to help.:thumbsup2

A few weeks ago, we won Coca Cola Rewards Points with the Monopoly game at McDonalds. I cashed the points in for a movie night package from Blockbuster...2 movies, 2 sodas, and a popcorn bucket=FREE. We bought some party snacks at Aldi's yesterday and we also got The Price is Right Electronic Game yesterday for $9.99 so...... we're going to have a game and movie night. Maybe that will help motivate everyone to help with the to do list today. ;)

That's about all from here...Have a great day ahead! :grouphug:

Wow, 11 days! :cool1: I leave in 13 days, but it's to India. Not quite as fun as WDW... :confused3 I'll trade you! ;)

Sounds like you have a busy day! But it will be worth it when you have movie and game night! What a fun way to end the day. :thumbsup2

Thanks Amy. :hug:

I got my DBro's and SIL's gifts today. Two Blu-rays for $12 after Target coupons....Batman Begins and The Punisher....I haven't seen either one of them, but my DBro and SIL wanted them so we got them....And at a great price!:thumbsup2

$171-$12 = $159 left to spend which is totally do-able!

* My DH decided to buy gift cards for my BILs and his nephews. They'll only be $10 each, but that's all we can afford at the moment.

$159-$50 = $109

* Two gifts for DDs....Gift cards to Target or Walmart for VB wallets

$109-$20 = $89

* Lottery Exchange with my Dad's side of the family

$89-$20 = $69

Which means that I have $69 to spend on my MIL's gift and I will be done!!:banana:

Off to start game and movie night....Have a great evening!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy, I am so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving at your family's. Food, football and family is indeed a perfect way to spend that day!

As usual you are running circles around me on the shopping thing. I have my brother and his family bought, wrapped and shipped but have only managed to buy a couple of calendars for my kids. I have a long ways to go, wanna fly out here and help me???

Congrats on that loss! You are probably only one of about ten people in the entire United States that can boast that this week!

Eleven days to go, you can do it! You must be so excited. And I know you miss your doggies.:hug:

Hey, pm me your address again, I have a little something to send you and your girls and I want to get it to you before you leave!

Congrats on the lost lbs!:cool1:

Sounds like you had a good Thanksgiving. I am wondering if you could do all my Christmas shopping for me.;)

Don't get too stressed about leaving for WDW.....that always leads to poor food choices. Just take one day at a time and work on the priorities. If something doesn't get done, you can take care of it later. Learning to do that in my life and it seems to help relieve the :scared1: moments.

How did game and movie night go? I bet it was fun!! :goodvibes

sounds like you had a lovely thanksgiving Tracy :) we were lucky enough to celebrate it once when we were in wdw, such a lovely holiday :)
im soooo jealous you get to visit wdw near xmas, im hoping to take mum & dad xmas 2011....if i can wrangle some unpaid leave - otherwise too expensive, but if i travel just before school breaks up we can save almost $1500!!

Good morning friends,

It's cold outside, but it's nice to wake up to sunshine. :goodvibes

We had a nice weekend. A nice balance of football, shopping, and napping. :thumbsup2

Family Fun Night was a blast! We played The Price is Right Electronic Edition and Disney Charades. The movie we watched together was Space Buddies (girls loved it! :love: ) and after the kids went to bed, my DH and I watched Four Christmases which we both thought was just okay.

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Laundry
* Library
* Pay a bill
* Go to the mall and lunch with DH (?)

I also need to work on my Disney to do list and come up with a plan for getting it all done....We're in single digits now!:banana:

Hope everyone has a great day!:hug:

How exciting to be so close to the trip! Good luck in getting the things done on your to do list.

Single digits!!!!! :cool1::banana::woohoo::cheer2:

Family Fun Night sounds like a hit! Hmm, I wanted to see Four Christmases, but now I am not as motivated!

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

It's been a frustrating day so far. :( The girls are having a hard time listening and doing what they are told and my DH is waiting for Fed Ex to drop off some materials that he needs for work today that should have been dropped off 3 hours ago. Ugh! :(

Homeschooling is done for the day, the bill has been paid, and my DH brought lunch home since he was waiting for Fed Ex. Still need to do laundry, go to the library, and get my Disney list done.

Today's Food:
B: Salad
L: Double Cheeseburger Deluxe, Small Fries, Medium Iced Tea (2)
D: 2+ Servings of Ravioli, 3 crescent rolls (UGH! :blush: ), 1 iced tea
S: 1 piece of Merci chocolate
S: 8 cubes of cheese, 3+ servings of Doritos

Exercise: Weights (20) minutes

Lesli~ Thanks! :goodvibes We are pretty excited that our trip is right around the corner. We watched the Disney special on HGTV last night and it really got us excited to see all the Christmas stuff at WDW. :santa:

Amy~ Four Christmases wasn't too bad. It was funny in some parts, but it was kind of uncomfortable in a sad way as well. We were hoping it would be rip roaring funny, but it was just so so. I'm glad that we got the rental free at Blockbuster though. ;)

Single Digits is the best!

You know I liked Four Christmas' but I LOVED "Nothing Like the Holidays". To me that one was funny but had a more "Christmasy" feel to it. Rent that one next time!

Hope your dh got his stuff from Fed Ex, why is it when you really need something its always late?

Hope you had a nice evening!

Thanks Amy and Tracey.:grouphug: I'm going to keep single digit dancing this week in the hopes that I burn off the excess calories that I consumed yesterday. :banana: I hopped on my scale this morning and let's just say.....:scared1:

Yesterday was a long day. Fed Ex finally came and my DH called the owner to schedule a time to install their system...The owner answered and said you guys always call at the worst times. Call me back in an hour. Um, okay. :confused3 I know the guy is under pressure, but taking out your frustrations on a guy who is doing you a favor is not nice. Oh well. My DH is installing his system today. Please pray it goes smoothly. :goodvibes

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling ( almost done with Science for the year!)
* Workout
* NCIS
* Library
* Help MIL pack

This time next week, we'll be getting ready to leave for WDW. :banana: We'll pick up the rental car in the afternoon, pack the car up, and head out around 6:00 p.m. (hopefully ;) ) Looking forward to our trip! ::yes::

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Food for Today:

S: 1 Merci Chocolate (Hazelnut/Almond)
