If it is exercise, then just commit to 15 min a day to walk with the kids or maybe make a "PE" time during your studies where of course you will have to be just as physical as the kids.
Maybe you notice a time when you are snacking too much or a type of food that you eat too much of. Just look to change that one thing and stay with it for 3 weeks. A new habit will form and you will be slowly changing to the lifestyle you want.
