Having been on a Disney Cruise twice, I know there is much to do on the ship. I need some ideas for small toys or activities to take along for my 2 1/2 year old DD, to fill the gaps. The bubbles are a great idea, as well as paper and crayons. I was just curious if anyone had any suggestions!! Thanks!!

When my kids were that age we would always buy a new set of plastic characters...like the kind the Disney Stores sell...Mickey & friends and Cinderella were both big hits! I'd put all of the figures in a plastic bag and keep that in my purse. Then, whenever they were needed I'd pull them out. We used them at restaurants, in the car, in our hotel rooms, etc. They were lifesavers on more than one cranky occasion!

Was our best friend during the travelin' toddler years. No small parts to lose! :D

Play doh (they have bags of 12 or so mini cans at Walmart)

*My daughter loved Play doh when she was 2..and at 5 she still loves it.

* Loving family townhouse people or fisher price people

One thing that my dd loved was those mini-houses with the people in it. The house is about 10 inches tall and the inside is divided into 4 rooms. It comes with people and she played house constantly. She can even carry it because on the top of the house there is a handle. They weren't polly pockets(they are too small for that age) but something bigger. I just recently saw them at TRU, but can't remember the name.

when my kids were little i always bought a new set of beach toys for every trip...
they'd play in the sand with them, and then when the trip was over i'd give it to some little kid on the beach to play with as a gift so that i didn't have to take dirty/wet toys back home with us...

My DS2 really likes Crayola's Color Wonder kits. .... they have some just the right size for travel plus you don't have to worry about marker stains. The markers only work on the "color wonder" paper.

I also found some really cute mini Disney pull toys...the child pulls the string and the arrow points to a picture and it says something....like The cows says...or the duck says....except these have Mickey and friends. I found these at Target.

One of the 1st stops on-board (when they opened) was the shops so we could pick up some new friends . They also have a stuffed model of the ship that's about 18" long with nautical Micky, Minnie, Donald & Goofy beanies so that he can recreate some of the fun he had that day! It comes in a clear zippered carrying case with handles & is really cute.
