Has anyone been into any of the Toys R Us Express stores. WE have one in our mall just wondering if they had all the hot toys and the same price as big holiday book??????? Thanks!
We stopped at the TRU Express in the mall before the big book started. They did have the same prices that were in the current sale flyer for nerf guns, which is what we were looking for.
It was VERY SMALL. Even smaller than the old KayBee Toys in the mall used to be. Not like a real TRU store at all. They had a nice selection of nerf guns, but only like 3 older lego sets, for example one of the sets they had was Lego Indiana Jones (no star wars legos).
My son thought many of the other prices seemed high, but I can't say for sure. Sometimes TRU is high on lots of things.
It was not worth the stop, but I can see that some people in the mall will buy there so they don't need to stop somewhere else.
I wasn't paying my attention to the prices, but I felt like the had the generic brands of everything rather than the name brands that may be at the store (no Thomas stuff, no Barbies, no Hot Wheels, no Crayola, etc).
I wouldn't consider it a substitute for a real TRU (or even Target or Walmart for that matter).

That reminds me of something we did see...they had a big selection of stuff that was like playmobil, but it was a no name brand. Much cheaper of course, but not the real thing. Really nice variety though.
