Last time when we were in DLP staying HNY we found cute little Pluto's on our beds when we arrived. We didn't get anything like this on our first visit. so I wonder why was this done this time? Anyone have an answer? Kids are expecting the same thing again. :confused3

Who knows. We have done 7 trips and never had anything like that. Sometimes seems to be luck of the draw really...
We always leave a little thing in our hotel room every night and ds still thinks its Tinkerbell that leaves him these things and the chocolates from the turn down service.
Fingers crossed you get the pixie dust again.

we'll be staying in SL this time. On our irst stay in HNY we didn't get the evening service and those chocolate coins, but last time we did.

it seems to be completely random, hopefully your children won't be too disappointed if they don't get toys in their room this time round.

We've never had anything like this either but have often bought little plushies for them. As you say, I think it is luck of the draw but I can understand how children think it's the 'norm'.

I've just bought some super cute, super soft Eeyores for my girls - I was going to slip on their beds before they enter the room but have decided to wait and put them on as we go to leave the room on our first day. That way they will find them when we arrive back from the park before bed :goodvibes.

Perhaps you could buy something small at home and do the same just in case?

I'll get something for them. They'll be happy and it doesn't cost much. I guess we were the lucky ones last time. It indee was a very nice suprice. Pixie dust pixiedust:

I have had a couple, along with choc coins, bottled water and a tea coffee making kit.
Here is a pic of what i got when i stayed at the Cheyenne in Jan 2011.

From my experience i seem to get something when i have contacted them to ask for a certain room type if possible.

Might be an idea to call them and ask for a specific lodge room (and I have no idea which is better) :lmao:
But, anyway, they should do some pixie dust to say how sorry they are for booking errors they've done :rolleyes1

Did you contact them via email or phone?

Always by email.
I've not always had something in my room but on most occasions i have got the room i have asked for, i just say something along the lines of "if they are not too busy would it be possible to have a room overlooking the lake, or near facilities."(depends on where i am staying)

Mind you i always go in January which is probably one of the quietest times to go so that may be why i usually get the room i want.

thanks, I will try also. Maybe it will work, you never know.
