Hi:goodvibes,

There are some great offers on a UK website with Hertz right now & I can get a great price on a 7 seater Toyota Sienna. There are 6 of us (4 adults & 2 kids). Will it fit all our luggage??

Thanks :thumbsup2

The Sienna is actually an 8-passenger van. The luggage well in the back is fairly deep (below floor level for the seating area) and I would imagine your luggage would fit, assuming you have a reasonable amount of luggage. :)

The cargo well is only about 24" from the back of the third row seats to the back door. If you will be using all three rows then it will be tight to fit very large roll-on bags all behind the seats. If you can fold the 60/40 rear seat you can get longer items in easier.

We had an 8 seat LE trim model for our golf trip last fall and we folded the 40% half of the third seat and got 5 big guys, 5 soft duffel/sport bags and 5 golf bags in the back and in the folded section and could still see out the back window. The third row passenger spot was not the place to be for the person in it, but the legroom was OK, just a bit claustrophobic with all the luggage around it.

Our Sienna has captain's chairs in the front and second rows, and a split bench in the third row making it a seven seater. I assume you have to have a second row bench seat to make it an eight seater.

In the seven-seat configuration, you could seat two in the back row and fold the remaining section of the bench flat giving you some additional cargo space. You probably could cram a large suitcase for each passenger and a few assorted smaller pieces in there if you do that, but I can't guarantee anything. If everyone has a couple of suitcases, however, forget it.

Thanks for your replies:thumbsup2

It's the 7 seater we have a price on with the configuration you described.

We would only have a maximum of 1 suitcase each so it sounds as if we'll be fine.

Thanks again!:goodvibes

Just curious. Are there any issues/restrictions on booking through a UK site? I see some great deals on expedia UK but am a little hesitant to book. Thanks.

We have a Sienna with the captain's chairs in the middle. The luggage area is huge...but there is lots of room to tuck smaller backpacks, etc. within the seating areas.
