I LOVE sushi. I could eat it several times a week if I could afford to. With one MAJOR exception. I cannot abide cucumbers. In fact, there are so many sushi restaurants within a reasonable driving distance, that one of my criteria about which ones to go back to are that they cannot be too "cucumber happy" or wanting to put cucumber in ALL the rolls. So how does TD, or other sushi places in WDW stack up to this? BTW I DO like nigiri sushi, which can be a way to avoid the issue.

I would take a look at the menus and make a decisions from there. Honestly, if you love sushi, I wouldn't even go to Tokyo Dining. They have an incredibly limited sushi/sashimi menu (mostly tuna, salmon, yellowtail and fake crab). I would suggest Kimono's at the Swan first and Morimoto second. Kimono's has an extensive menu and I'm sure you will be able to avoid copious cucumbers there. Plus, the sushi is delicious.

Ah, finally someone else who has an aversion to cucumbers. I finally figured out the purpose of the pointy end of a chopstick. To push cucumbers our of the roll. I always have a stack of cucumber sticks on my plate when I'm finished. Yes, I'm classy like that.

I would also suggest Kimono's. They have a great selection of sushi, any style. They give you a menu sheet and you mark the items you want. I was disappointed in my Tokyo Dining experience. They really did not have a good variety.
