Toy Story Mania

We went in October this year and it hadn't improved from the previous October at all. Got there at park opening (9am when we were there). DH and our children went to the standby queue and I went to the fastpass. They were in under the twenty five minutes it took me to get fastpasses. Our fastpasses were good from 12 noon. Don't know if that helps.

We noticed on our last trip that the timings outside TSM aren't always accurate.
We do the "arrive early, ride TSM, then get FP" or "arrive early, get FP, then ride", that way we always get to go at least twice. And with arrive early, I mean, front of the rope drop early!
But we've noticed that when we come back to ride with the FP (usually between 10 and 11am), that the sign will say 50 minutes wait. However when we go in, the line inside, isn't anywhere near that, more like 20 to 30 minutes. At that point we've switched lines, wasn't gonna waste my FP if there was a short line. One day on our last trip (November) we managed to ride TSM 4 times by 1pm, twice with a FP, twice just doing the line and never waited more 25 minutes even though outside it said 50 minutes.

Just to back this up . . . we went to WDW twice last year and got to DHS three times for rope drop. Each time we went straight to TSM, passed the FP line and got straight in the stand-by line. The wait time was set for 50 minutes and the line looked massive. However once it started moving it was really quick - the wait time seems to automatically default to 50 minutes first thing in the day and they had all the inside line roped off which forced everyone outside making it look longer - once it started moving though the longest we waited was 15 minutes - probably about the same amount of time as you would waste in the FP line! So if you can get there for rope drop I would just get straight in the normal line!

I went in Nov and the queue was 90mins+ with all the fp running out by 11am! The park wasn't particularly busy either. I got to the front of the queue and threw up so missed it! :sad1:
