Hi all

I will be 17 weeks pregnant during our November trip and Mum and I have been discussing whether TSM will be suitable. It doesn't have any 'warnings' on it (I have the map from our trip in July) but we both remember it being quite jerky when you go from one shooting bit to another.

Does anyone else think this might be a bit too rough for a pregnant lady? Has anyone pregnant ridden it???

Thanks, Julie xxx

I went to DL when I was 20 weeks pregnant. I rode every ride, including BTMRR, so I say that you will be fine with TSM. My OB said that baby is very well protected and any ride would be safe. Talk to your DR if you are worried

WE JUST RETURNED FROM DISNEY AND RODE TSM 5 TIMES. I THINK YOU WOULD BE FINE RIDING IT. HAVE FUN.:flower3:

I wouldn't think twice about riding that ride pregnant. Have a great trip!

I just returned yesterday and rode TSM and I am 16 weeks preggo. Not to worry it really is a pretty mild ride. I think you will do fine. I rode many rides except those that posted preggo women should not. I think Disney really is pretty cautious about their warnings and would post if they didn't think it was suitable. Enjoy your trip!

Rode it 6 times at 17 weeks. There aren't any warnings so don't worry about it.

Oddly, the ride that irritated me the most was Small World. It's really shaky when you're going over the rollers in the loading area. Also, the Mexico ride when bumping into the boat in front of me was startling and jarring.

For reference, I also rode Kiliminjaro Safaris in the front row of the vehicle. We flew over Hurricane Hanna to get to Disney, and it was easily 10x more bumpy on the flight down there than it was on the Safari ride.

rode a couple of weeks ago at 15 weeks with no problems or worries. IMO it is fine for preggos. have fun!!!

A little off topic, but is there an age restriction for this ride?

Can my almost 2 year old ride it?:confused3

No age restrictions. My 1 year old rode it. As a matter of fact he could ride most rides...minus the rollercoasters, etc. obviously. He loved TSM but he is a pretty easy going little man.

Thanks, I was just wondering because I've heard them say no lap children. He's old enough now to sit next to me. He's fearless and goes on everything within reason.

Thanks!:flower3:

Thanks everyone!
Its such a fantastic ride it'd be so sad to miss it!
I will ride with comfort now!

Went at 26 weeks and no issues - just watch how the lap bar goes down and keep it where it is comfortable.

to OP we went to TSM in Aug- my dh and ds1 rode together. He rode on his lap w/o any problems. We had asked about a babyswap but were informed that ds1 could lap ride. HTH

We rode TSM last week with 18 month old DD in my lap. She did just fine, but my score seriously suffered from having her on my lap...at least...that's what I keep telling DH :)
