I've heard the 3rd track is now open at Toy Story Mania...

It's not 5 pm. According to the Disney app, there is now a 40 minute wait at TSM. ToT is also 40 minutes. Great Movie Ride is 45 minutes. And RnRC is 90 minutes. And Star Tours is 30 minutes.

So in terms of standby lines, TSM is no worse than the other major attractions. In fact, it is a shorter line than the Great Movie Ride and MUCH shorter than the Rock n Roller Coaster.

It may be time to re-write TSM/DHS touring strategies. It may no longer be the most important Tier 1 fastpass.

We may see the same thing when Soarin opens with a 3rd theater. Lines may suddenly become very reasonable most days, most times. We can hope.
Long lines is more about ride capacity than popularity.

Checked it a few times today and it was 30 minutes each time. :thumbsup2

Now that could be a temporary benefit -- They only issues enough fastpasses for 2 tracks. So now they basically have a huge amount of standby availability, thus shortening the line. And therefore, once they release FPs for 3-tracks, FPs will still eat up 80-90% of the availability, and standby lines will get ridiculous again. So it's possible that the shorter lines are temporary, but I actually think they will be permanent.
