Hi there! Is there any benefit to show up for EMH to ride TSM without an outrageous line? Planning to FP one later but would love to start our day there.

TIA!

Amy

In my opinion, it is worth it if you want to ride twice or if you want to ride it and RnRC. Now that additional FP+ are available after you use your 3 preselected ones, it is possible to get 2 FP+ for TSM but really depends on how crowded the parks are which obviously impacts availability. FWIW, I arrived at HS around 8:15 for a 9am open last Dec. I was at the bus stop at Pop around 8. I was the 11th person in line at the turn style and booked it to TSM. I walked on the ride and then got in line to meet woody n buzz. I could have easily ridden again but silly me didn't know they inflate times. So even tho it said 45 mins, it probably wasn't...live learn for next time.

ETA: lots of crowd predictor sites would suggest avoiding parks with EMH b/c they tend to be the busiest. The caveat to that is if you have hoppers and can move to a less crowded park. But I would suggest only going to an EMH park if you are taking advantage of the extra hours. You could also just get to park open on a non emh day and still get of TSM with little wait. You just need to make sure you're at the front of the pack. I was amazed at the difference 20 mins made with the admission lines. I know Josh at easywdw.com has some pictures of the difference in lines at various times.

That's what I was thinking--thanks for your insight! First trip in August and I'm sure my son will want to ride TSM more than once.

Fun fun! I am 37 and once isn't enough for me! First trips are the best - have a wonderful.time! I'm taking my niece (5) and nephews (7) on their first trip in Oct. I'm so excited I tear up sometimes thinking about sharing one of my fave places with them.

Early EMH Rock !!! You can always sleep in when you get home:thumbsup2

We're all very excited--August will take *forever* to get here!

We did it last summer and it was especially beneficial because we wanted to meet Woody and Buzz too. So we got in for AM EMH and pretty much walked right on to Toy Story Mania. Then we got fast passes for later (had paper ones then) and got into the meet and greet line right across the side walk, which was already forming even though Buzz and Woody would not be meeting until 9:15. I had brought our breakfast from the room and we just ate until they opened the doors. We were the 4th family in line.

For my crew though TSM is the only premier ride we can do at DHS. It's also to my children a "we have to do that again" ride. I had one day last trip where I let my daughter pick the park of the day. We had been to all 4 parks already and had one day left after choice day and would be in MK and she picked DHS to get more rides on TSM and see the Beauty and the Beast show which we'd missed on our other DHS day.

For our trip coming up, our DHS day is not on EMH day but I still plan to get there at opening to get a spin on TSM done to go with our fast pass + reservation I secured for after lunch.
