Toy Story Mania closed?

Just got an email from Disney Destinations canceling my TSM FP for May 20th from 8-9pm due to scheduling changes. But the park stays open until midnight with EMH that night. Any idea why?
Gave me RR. We don't ride RR insert angry face here!!

Maybe a fireworks show is scheduled around then? I thought I had read in the past that TSMM is closed when there is a fireworks show at HS.

Probably due to the SW fireworks added for that night. Did you try rescheduling for TSMM at a different time?

I did. Got one for 7-8. That is it! They added SW show for that night at 8:45. Thanks everyone!!!

I missed a call from them this evening, no message, wonder if it had something to do with that

I dont really know, I guess to keep people back and away.

So people waiting or walking outside don't get burned from fireworks fall out.

You can also try right before it closes. Supposedly, it's usually really dead then. They also don't always close it right when they say they will.

This will not need to be done in the not-too-distant future, as they are currently building a new fireworks launch area that is located outside the park's guest areas.

Oops, my bad. I've never seen it and wrongly assumed. I'm sure it's fantastic, but I much prefer rides over watching a performance.

Ours got canceled for 3/15 about 2 weeks before our trip. We got Rock n Roller Coaster. DH and DS were going to ride it anyway but at rope drop. I am too chicken to ride it. Luckily, we had a different day at DHS, where we had an FP+ for TSMM. It's a bummer, but it happens. You can try to keep switching it out. Something might show up. If TSMM is just closing early for the fireworks, then the wait is supposedly really short right before the fireworks start.

You don't get an option. They just give you what they want. You can always try to switch it out though. I think they do try to give you something in the same tier at least.

If you can make the time, Fantasmic is worth seeing at least one once. It is really well done. We do not go every trip, but enjoy it very much one the times we do.
