My mum has fibromyalgia and also a separate shoulder complaint. There's no way she would be able to continually pull the cord on tsmm to shoot. Is there an alternative for disabled people? If not there's no point in her riding because I think she'll just feel left out & sad...
Thanks so much! :cutie:

Have her sit with someone else who can pull for her. My son has CP and cannot fire it well, but I do it and he aims as best he can. Just make it a team sport!

Thanks for answering, Lisa. Not exactly the answer I was hoping for, but it is what it is :(
I'll have to get my dad started on the weights in time for October ;) Doing one is heard enough!!

In the wheelchair accesible car they have a button not a pull string so you tap a button. Just talk to the cms in front lt them now they will have you go through the main que unless you have fast pass and then send will you to the accesible car loadin area.

Oohh! Really? Does she have to be in a wheelchair though? She's going to be using a scooter.
Thanks!

here a pic of the button and video i know it from disneyland but it the same in disney world.

here more info it looks like it has one seat and the spot for wheel chair plus it has a button and a pull string both work.

The wheelchair accessible position has both a cord and a button; either can be used. To use the accessible car, you would have to go to the special line before you get to the stairs.

Note that if a person has to remain in their chair, that is the only place they can be. If there is nobody actually in a wheelchair waiting, explain to the CM handling Load what the needs are and she can be given that seat.

She can use her scooter to get to the loading area. Then let the CM know that she needs the accessable vehicle and that she can't pull the string. They will make sure that you get in the correct seat! Have fun and good luck on the game!! :yay:

Just a quick note to say that the wait for the WC accessible car is usually quite long. Also, I have arthritis in my shoulder and "hitting the button" can be quite painful for two reasons:
1. you have to hold your arm up to reach the button
2. there is force involved in actually hitting the button

There are days when it is actually easier for me to pull the string rather than using the button.

Basically a person who is in a chair and cannot transfer would have priority for that one position compared to a person who would just have a problem using the pull cord.

my husband is a quadraplegic and loves that ride and able to hit the button pretty good

He asks them to put the controller as low as possible which makes it easier for him

the nice thing about this ride is they load -- off track
so you can take your time and get it right and not be holding up the whole ride!

only regrets -- wish they had more cars for all and a longer ride!!!!
