"Toy Story Mania" Arm

no arm issues. They did let my boys ride together.. I didn't tell them their ages they are 5 and 6. I did see a mom be able to ride with two littler kids. and two adults with one little one - probably 2yo.
I never waited more than 10min. The first time was a bit of luck. Early in the morning. The second time I went through the TSMM que from GRR following the CM.

I LOVED this ride so much! My arm didn't hurt on this one...but man my fingers get sore on Buzz.:rolleyes1

I did the SR line twice during the Ladies trip, and both times I was sore. The second time was worse b/c I increased my score significantly, after finding out that you don't have to pull the string out all the way (you do, however, have to let the string go all the way back in). The second time I rode with an 11 year old, or so, boy, and in between games he and I were both rubbing our arms (and laughing about it). :)

Molly, have you ever noticed on TSMM that some of the strings you may encounter have too much 'give' on them and others have just the right amount of tension on them? I thought I was on a roll - even though my TSMM scores are low compared to other TSMM titans, I saw my scores steadily improving and I felt I was getting the hang of it. Then, the last time I was on it, the darn string had a wee bit too much give and was not snapping back quickly enough and I could feel that I wasn't getting in a groove because of that @#$%^&* string but I was working my arm like a fiend, then slowing down to see if that worked, then speeding up, etc. Sure enough, my scores were lower that time. I told my friend that it was the string's fault, and she rolled her eyes like I was making it up. I said that I thought someone on the ride before me had probably yanked the string too hard, therefore loosening it and rendering it weak and messing up my score! Has anyone else noticed this wimpy string problem?

Where's the tag fairy??? Sherry had a wimpy string!!! hee hee....Sorry but that was just too funny to read. :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: Hee hee! No one likes a wimpy string!:lmao: The Tag Fairy - fortunately for me - has missed a lot of gems. In my Trip Report, I said today that my new Tag should say that 'reading my Trip Report will make your butt hurt' or 'cause butt pain' or some such thing (long story), and then another time I think I was saying in some thread that 'poopy-smelling water is never a good thing,' so I have been very lucky to dodge those Tag Fairy bullets so far!!

Sherry, I've only been on the ride 4 times total so far, and I haven't encountered weird strings. However on the last time through, I felt like the mechanism needed some wd-40 or recalibration, b/c I had to push the wheel thing all the way down to get the "gun thing" (shooty thingy?) to aim simply *towards* the top of the screen. Hard to explain!

Oh, I can picture exactly what you mean. I know what you are talking about with having to push the wheel all the way down to aim up, where on other rides of TSMM, you don't have to do that as much to go towards the top. In fact, I had one of those wacky wheel deals too....in fact, it may have even been in the same car - on the same ride - as the wimpy string with too much give! So I may have had the wacky wheel and the wimpy string combining evil forces to work against me!

I would go crazy if I had both problems at the same time!

I really need to get better at using my left hand for the string, b/c I think I would be better at aiming with my right hand/arm. I tried it on my 4th time through, but I was so useless with my left hand that it was ridiculous.

I have lousy hand-eye coordination to begin with, so anything that throws me off of my game and makes it worse makes me mad! I was so happy with myself that my TSMM scores were improving, and I had not only beaten one of my friends:cool1: but had also beaten the single rider next to me on one go-around:cool1:!! I think my highest score was only something like 98,500 or around there, which is really good for ME! So when I got that stupid car with the weak cord and the wacky wheel, and my score dropped waaaaaay down to something like 50,000, I was angry and despondent for about an hour!! And then it further annoyed me when my friend kind of rolled her eyes like I was making up the story about the wimpy string!

I insisted, "But it had too much give, I tell you!!! Not enough tension on the @#$%&* cord!!"
