My 12 year old and I waited in the standby line for Toy Story during our trip while my husband and older son did the drawing class. Right before the stairs, we were pulled aside to the accessible station and put in a car designed for 2 riders and a wheelchair. The CM pointed out that we could pull the string OR push the button to shoot during the game. The button is located on top of the "cannon".
The button is awesome!!! I wish they would add it to all the Toy Story cars. It is much easier than the pull string. We usually have arm fatigue after a few rides with the pull string and the button alleviates this problem.
Anyone else have a chance to use the button firing mechanism?

I don't pull the firing cord by pulling on it with my hand, wrist and forearm.

I hold the end of the cord between the first knuckles of my second and third fingers and just "flick it" towards me (as if if was motioning someone to "come here.")

I saves a lot of energy, and I can fire the gun very quickly without wrist fatigue.

I am so resisting the urge to make an inappropriate comment.

Yup. ;)

It's nearly impossible to write anything about "shooting guns" that does not
evoke double entendre.

I always use the button as I only have stumps for fingers and am unable to pull the string as it falls straight through my hand :fail :)

I think it would be a really good idea to have it on all cars as at the moment i have the wait on the ramp before I ride which often takes considerably longer than the regular line.

Oh......... and it would stop the arguments between my family members of who gets to sit by me to use the other button as they claim their score is better with it lol.
