Toy Story Land FP Tier predictions

It will probably play out similar to what has happened at AK with the Pandora rides. The wait times for those rides are really long, but the wait times for the existing rides have become very reasonable. I was there last week and was able to ride Everest multiple times with a very small wait time. Hopefully the same will happen at HS when the new rides open. Those rides will have long wait times and you will need to get right online at 7 am 60 days out to get a guaranteed FP, but the wait times and the FP availability for RNR, TSM and ToT will be better.

I don't know, I agree to an extent, but waits were still 40 minutes for everest when we were there 2 weeks ago. Plus you still only have like 4 rides there plus maybe Pandora. The two new lands at HS are going to make it bad I fear. Reality is not everyone likes motion simulators so Aerosmith I can imagine will still command decent lines. Plus remember that many people seem to be avoiding the park so thats probably helping to keep the lines down.

True, and I am worried too when it comes time to make my FP for Flight of Passage. But, Disney doesn't say that you have the right to ride every ride without a wait. If you can't get a FP+ for Flight of Passage, you can show up at rope drop and ride standby just like the old days. There is still that choice as far as I can see. New rides + limited headliner attractions will lead to some guests being disappointed IMO.

I see your point, but I just don't know of a way around it. Universal had big lines for Harry Potter, and the Great Adventure parks by me routinely have 3 hour lines for the big coasters.

The key to handling the lines at great adventure is to never consider setting foot in it::yes::

But what you're saying about "not being guaranteed" anything - while true - is still a Disney failure.

It's extremely high cost...and not allowing access in a reasonable timeframe is a failure.

For all his warts...Michael Denison Eisner built to get out ahead of the crowds he promised stock holders would come. They have...but the Orange beauty that succeeded him did not invest to preserve the value of his product...instead he watched crowds swell and instead of increasing product to meet demand...came up with ride rationing and upsells on every square inch of property.

It's just what the record is. The "mass" development now is behind in the race, not leading it.

It will be tier 1 like every single new attraction. I wonder if, after the new wears off, it will result in TSMM dropping to tier 2? They could almost do it now, except that it's the only ride you can go on with small children at the moment. Glad they finally added that third track.

Everything new has a rush. It was ridiculous to get a FP for the new Frozen ride and now I got one just a few days before without issue. Navi River is already pretty available.

I think FOP is going to be Tier 1 for a very, very long time. There are some rides that are just popular because they are new, but, some rides are actually really good entertainment. FOP is really good entertainment. 7DMT is really good entertainment for small children. I can't picture Slinky Dog getting quite the action that FOP has gotten. I rode that for the first time and hopped right back into a 3 hour line to ride it again. I think Slinky Dog will be more of a once is enough kind of ride.

I do like fastpass. I preferred legacy fastpass, but, I understand why they went the way they did. It was definitely a great way to get more people staying on property. We hadn't stayed on property before, but, that extra 30 days of planning and the ability to get a reserved time slot for a brand new ride was enough of a seduction.. lol

My kid was a colic-y cranky kid when she was younger. We couldn't wait with her in a line. If not for fastpass, I doubt we could have ridden many rides at all. Now she's 6 and she can wait in a couple hour line like a trooper, but, back a few years ago those fastpasses were a pretty big deal for us. My Dad hasn't been able to go to Disney in a long time, he has anxiety that gets pretty bad in those lines. With fastpass, he was actually able to ride some rides before it got the better of him.

When I was young and free, I was definitely able to ride a lot more rides without fastpass. But, older me can see that it makes a pretty big difference for people.

Honestly, I feel like the slinky dog coaster is more of a bandaid to give people more places to go to when Star Wars opens. Hope the capacity is decent. lol
