Toy Story FP+ Strategy?

Hello! My FP window will be opening in a few days for my six day August trip and I'm wondering what kind of luck people are having booking FP for the new Toy Story Land attractions. Should I try for my latest date and work backwards? That has been my strategy with Pandora and has worked well, but if I can get some FP for earlier in my trip, I wouldn't mind. Thanks for any info!

Plan to book according to priority. Hop around dates until you find a TSL ride then move on to your next highest priority ride.

After you’ve booked all your must-dos, go back and fill in the remaining FP slots.

We have a group of 12 arriving 6/30. We intentionality waited until the end of our trip for the new rides in toy story because we knew it would so crowded on the day we arrive. We were able to get Slinky Dog at 60 plus 5 and the saucers at 60 plus 6. We were also able to get Navi on our arrival date and Flights of a Passage at 60 plus 1. We took whatever times came up and modified a couple (saucers and Navi) to earlier times after booking. Our flights fast pass is 7pm and we haven’t found an earlier time but we are just happy to have it. Good luck and have a safe and great trip

Sorry I forgot to add that since the rides were more important to us, we took what we could get and changed a lot of our dining reservations. I think we got all but one back.

Good to know! What times were you able to book for these 2? Ideally I’d like as early as possible. It’s just myself and my husband so might be easier than a group of 12!

Since we don't have hoppers for our August trip (5 nights/6 days) we planned HS out to day 4. We're not locked into a particular time and are willing to do an evening ride. Our priority is Slinky Dog. We've left our Day 6 (Departure Day) open just in case we couldn't get it earlier. We would prefer to use that day for Epcot but.............. If we had hoppers then it be no issue in my mind.

Sounds like a good plan - hope you get everything you want! I guess I'll try for slinky dog on day 6 and work backwards for the saucers. Or maybe just pass on them altogether. Thanks for the info!

I had a much harder time getting SDD than FOP (the other hardest-to-get FP, it seems) so I would try for SDD first. Alien Swirling Saucers were plentiful - they're gone now, but I'm at 30 days now and I think *** are really just a different version of the MK teacups.

Didn't even realize what I was writing, and that's a better abbreviation - I certainly wasn't trying to be offensive but can see how someone reading through quickly might think so! I will learn AS2 :)
