Anyone hear anything else about a proposed Toy Story breakfast?????

I had heard about a Toy Story breakfast at Hollywood and Vine around 2 years ago but havent heard anything since then.

But here goes! While my 3 boys would love this I don't see how it would work. We saw Buzz and Woody at MGM this summer and there is no way they could work a breakfast in those costumes. They looked like they could barely see, could not sign autographs (had a stamp instead) and were too huge to fit between a bunch of tables.

Alright, I'm wandering off topic here, but Snow Brite hit on one of my pet peeves about Woody & Buzz @ WDW:
They looked like they could barely see, could not sign autographs (had a stamp instead) and were too huge to fit between a bunch of tables.
I have a friend who used to wear these exact costumes at Disneyland (before they were shipped to FL), and he says they are capable of signing autographs, it just requires practice. I am vastly disappointed that WDW won't let the actors take the time to learn how to do it, since I really think the rubber stamp thing detracts from the magic.

Back to the breakfast thing, I think the biggest problem would be getting enough characters to keep everyone happy. Buzz & Woody alone would make for kind of a lonely breakfast for many kids.

They could populate a pretty good Toy Story character meal - Woody, Buzz, Jessie, a green army man and Bo Peep.

And just as Pooh stays in one spot at the Crystal Palace...Buzz and Woody could each have a spot and Jessie, Bo and the Army Man could circulate.....or even just have Buzz or Woody (whoever's working that day...) and the rest.

I know the details of character breakfasts from a business standpoint was explained here once....and I think it may be that none of the restaurants has chosen to try this....from what I recall, characters are a big expense for the restaurants and the meals have to be very popular to be cost effective. I don't see where this one wouldn't be hugely popular though....

Oh, well, if it ever happens we'll certainly be there....but I'm not holding my breath.

And yes, the stamps are stupid and ruin the illusion that the characters are real.....I'd rather just not be able to get an autograph, or have their accompanying cast members hand out a pre-signed card or sticker to guests (hand written, not printed) , or just let the actors get some practice and learn to do it, than the stamp. King Louie can't sign either....no big deal.

There was buzz a while back that after they tried the Storybook Princess breakfast and decided whether they would make it permanent, the next would be a Toy Story Breakfast. I haven't seen anything more about this rumor for the past couple of months, though!

The Toy Story costumes we have at the Studios include, Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Bullseye, Bo-Peep, lots of green army men, and the muscle guy (cant remember his name).

Stretch Armstrong??

I think Bo-Peep would have a hard time also, with her big "hoop" skirt.

I do think they need more of a variety of character meals. I mean how many pooh and friends and Chip and Dale can you do on one trip??

I think they're missing a little boys character meal and the Toy story breakfast would fill this gap. The girls are well looked after with Cinderellas breakfast and the Princess breakfast, and I feel the other character meals are a little girl oriented (Mary Poppins and Alice at Park Fare, Pooh and friends, Chip and Dale-great for toddlers, but not such a hit with older boys).

I know Peter Pan makes the odd appearance at CRT, but I think a Pirate breakfast (possible Treasure Island tie-in?), or a mixed character meal with more boys heros would be a good idea (Woody, Buzz, Peter Pan, Capt Hook, Tarzan to name a few).

I think a Toy Story breakfast (or lunch) would be awesome! I agree that there aren't any "boy breakfasts". I would love to see a Villain breakfast also.
I was wondering, though, when can you see Bullseye in MGM (or elsewhere for that matter). Have seen Buzz, Jessie, and Woody, but never Bullseye.
