I don't know about anyone else, but everyone at my house is counting down the days until Toy Story 3! Since this forum is such a great source of info, maybe you all can help me with a ? - does anyone know if any restaurants (McD, BK, etc.) will be having kids meals with TS3 collectibles? TIA!

I really hope one of the chains will come out with something. Shrek 3 and Marmaduke over Toy Story 3?? Huge mistake IMO.

Maybe if McDonald's had gone with Toy Story over Shrek they wouldn't be stuck recalling millions of cadmium-tainted glasses! :-)

I may be wrong, but I believe Disney made a conscious decision not to have a tie in with fast food establishments. They don't want to be associated with the drivers of childhood obesity. Correct me if I'm wrong...

You know, I think I remember hearing something about that. I'm not sure if it was obesity related but there was something in the news a long while back about Disney cutting ties with McDonalds. Surely they've had Disney toys in their happy meals lately? I don't know since I don't have kids/pay attention :cutie:

But on to Toy Story 3! I'm really excited about it and am forcing everyone to go see it in 3D since we have yet to do any of that Imax stuff :3dglasses I just hope it's better than the second movie.( Maybe it was just me but I didn't really like it all that much. The whole collector's thing was kind of boring imo) Looking forward to Spanish Buzz :dance3:

I heard the same-that Disney severed all ties with fast food establishments...hence them pulling the McDonald's fry stations out of CA adventure.

Sad sad sad. I miss collecting all the cute toys. There was a series of Lion King puppets in small boxes they once sold at Burger King when it was first out. I had all 6...but was foolish enough to toss them when I went away to college. :(

If anybody hears of any promos... let us know!

Woo! I can't wait, I'll definitely be showing up at the midnight premiere!

We've been waiting on this movie for so long, it's hard to believe my eyes when I see it in the "coming out this week" category on Fandango. So close!

yea, there are no calories in pizza, double cheeseburgers, 2 lb turkey legs, bbq ribs, deep fried chicken, mickey bars.......................................................

We too are looking forward to Toy Story 3 - especially the 3D. popcorn:: Going to see it at the El Capitan on the 17th at the Toy Story Marathon. Too bad the little toys will not be at McD's, but I am sure that will just mean more toys for Disney to sell at all the parks or on-line.

Don't forget that if you purchased TS1 and TS2 on Blu-ray they included a free ticket to TS3. You just need to register them at DisneyMovieRewards.com and print the free tickets.

TS3 will be our daughters first trip to the movie theatre.

Dalt, always the negative Nelly. ;)

It's true, Disney does offer some pretty hefty calorie stuff, but you are there on vacation, it's a little different from day to day eating and they do offer quite alot of healthier choices now. If they really did cut out the promotions through fast food places for kid's health reasons, then I have to commend them for that.

I kind of wondered if they were cutting ties with Mc D's because of those same reasons, but then why do I still see Woody & Buzz on about every sugary cereal in the grocery store. The marketing for this new movie is everywhere - Sara Lee breads, Pull-ups, etc., etc. Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining at all! I love getting a glimpse of Disney/Pixar everywhere I go! (BTW - you know you're a Disney nut, when you (ie. me!) go garage saling & almost everything you purchase is Disney related! My kiddos were loving me when I got home with all the treasures for them! :lovestruc

So, back to TS3 - I can't wait! I heard Jodi Benson give an interview on All About the Mouse a couple of weeks ago (true confessions time...I listen to other Disney podcasts besides the Dis, however, the DisUnplugged is far & away my favorite!). She is the voice of Barbie on TS 2 & 3 & of course Ariel. She said when she finally saw the entire film, she was blown away - even said it was a 2 kleenex movie. I'm guessing the 'growing up' message might be why??? Hearing her makes me very jealous of all of you going on PCC 2.0!

Okay, I think I may need to change my plans for Toy Story 3. The Ziegfeld Theater in NYC is having Woody & Buzz meet & greets all weekend long prior to each showing. Hmmmm..... IMAX vs. Meet & Greet?

They are also having a Toy Story movie marathon (all in 3D) starting Thursday night, but since I promised I'd take the kids, that may not be the best thing for us.

BTW, don't get too upset about no TS3 toys at McD's. I'm sure there will be plenty of other places to get TS merchandise.
