Toy Story 3?

Does anybody have new info on the Toy Story 3 movie? I know last January they canned it. Then in July 2006 Tim Allen said it was back on (with Pixar taking the lead- not Disney) and he and Tom Hanks were signed on to do it (and the Buzz gets recalled to Taiwan idea was gone)

Anyone?? DS3.5 would go crazy for another one of these!

I really hope that there will be a Toy Story 3. IMBD.com lists it as pre production. The Toy Story movies are among the few where the sequel was as good as the first.

I read in a news bulletin about 4 months back ( I think where there was also an excerpt of an Allen interview), about Toy Story 3, how Allen's daughter talked him in to another movie and that it is about Buzz being recalled back to the Tokyo factory...anyone else read this?

Lasseter and Catmull confirmed last week that this is in the works, with a script being written by Michael Arndt, Oscar-nominated for "Little Miss Sunshine."

It's my understanding that they scrapped this script and are starting over....

The factory recall seems like a good idea to me. I hope that the new idea is just as good.

Considering who was in control when the old idea was devised, and who is control of the new idea, whatever it maybe, my money is on the new one turning into a far better movie.

Besides, since when are toys made in Tokyo?

I had read somewhere the they wanted to make Toy Story 3 be the final movie and something about the kids growing up and showing where the toys go...a happy place...not sure how that translates into a plot but...
