Sooooooo Who has been on this ride? I dont hear much about it on here. Any reviews on it??? I am really excited to try this ride out.

How are the lines for it still??? I would imagine it goes some what quickly due to the carts coming and going all the time.

It's a blast. A nice challenge for anyone who likes arcade games and it always seems like I can see my improvement every time I go on it. I don't want to give too much away because it's part of the excitement.

If you sit in a rear facing seat, it seems like it whips you around a little bit more than the front facing, but I may be imagining that. It is pretty fun to spin around when travelling between game screens.

The lap bar is split between the two seats, so people of different sizes can ride together easily.

Smaller targets open bigger ones in a lot of the games. The key is to be persistant. My goal is to hit one of the flying bottles one day! Can never seem to do that!

Lines - move pretty quickly and average 30 minutes. If you have adults or older kids and don't mind riding separately, the single rider line is pretty fast, too. The exit platform is in an extremely secure and closed off area (on the back wall of the boarding area with stairs that you must climb to exit), so if you need to wait for a kid or have a kid wait for you, one of you can stand on the platform and not go up the stairs until the other comes out. The CMs don't seem to mind this, and they are the only people on the platform besides exiting guests. Everyone in the queue line can see that platform, too, so somebody would have to be a fool or an idiot to dare try anything.

We went on it twice a couple weeks ago. We did not wait more than 15 mins each time. I loved it! :thumbsup2 To me, it is so much better than Buzz.

Yeah 25-30 min isnt so bad. It usually goes a bit faster then that as its just an estimated wait time. But Buzz has that kind of waits on busier days so its not so bad. It sounds fun. I will have to try sitting in the rear and see if you are correct on that theory :goodvibes

I love the ride! We use the single rider line. We don't always get to ride together but it's worth it when the line is long. I am not good at video games but I'm actually good at TSMM!! I'm better than my 13 y/o son who is good at video games and really good at Buzz LIghtyear!! I don't know why?

We LOVED this ride. At opening time we waited maybe 15-20 minutes and during the afternoon it could go up to 45 minutes which isnt bad considering that this ride is SO MUCH FUN! We rode it every day at least once and we're 2 adults in our 30s (no kids)!!!! Its the best. The "toss the rings" game is the cutest with the little aliens from Toy Story.:thumbsup2

It's GREAT! It is addictive! We just went on it three times the other day! I am usually terrible with anything involving hand-eye coordination, but, as Nancy said, I could see my improvement, which was good. It is pretty easy to hit targets, no matter how bad you are. At first I was discouraged because my friend was beating me, but then another friend joined us and I beat her so I felt much better! It blows air at you, spritzes a little mist on you, you get the 3D effects, you spin around in between games - there is just a lot going on and it is all worth it! Do not miss this ride! It is surely one of the best ones that DLR has!

We used the hotel guest entrance in the GCH at opening time on Friday the 3rd, and got to the TSMM line ahead of the people waiting at the entrance, so we made good time. There was almost no line when we got to the queue, and we were poised to get right on it. However, the ride broke down because something happened to two of the game screens, and so our wait was lnger than originally planned by about 25 minutes. Had it not been for the ride breaking down, it would have taken maybe 10 minutes to get on the ride form the time we stepped into the queue.

The next time we went on it was during the TOTP, that night, and the line wait time said 25 minutes and I guess that was about right - maybe slightly longer.

And the third time we rode TSMM, it was maybe 2:30 p.m.-ish on Saturday, October 4th, and the line said, I think, 35 minutes or so. It does move pretty quickly. You generally are not standing in one place for too long. When a friend of mine went to DLR in July, she almost did not go on TSMM because the line was too long for her liking (probably 45 minutes), but they finally decided to get on it at night - even though the line was still long - and they LOVED it and went twice in a row. That is now their favorite ride, but to think, they almost missed out on it because they didn't want to get in the line. So don't be discouraged by the line - just remember to remind yourself that the ride is WELL worth it!!!

I agree 150% with your post. And "ADDICTIVE" is the word I was looking for!! We rode it 4 times in a row on our last night in CA!!!!!!!:upsidedow

We also love this ride, although the fact that we have a 1year old signficantly hampers the score of one parent or the other. So, our solution is that we use single rider line and play against other people, but then compare our scores afterward.

Yes! Addictive! You know, I do really like Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters too, but the problem with it is that, first of all, I like to spin around in the vehicle - even if it messes with getting a higher score, that is okay. I just like to spin it, and I like having the option of when to spin. When I ride Buzz with someone else, they feel the need to control the spinning to their own advantage OR not spin at all, and keep their hand on the controls, and it becomes a war over the joystick thingy. I prefer to ride Buzz by myself so I can spin to my heart's content!!! At least on TSMM, you don't have a choice as to when you spin - and you don't have to battle it out with your seat mate who doesn't like spinning.

Also, on Buzz Lightyear, it is not as easy to see when a target is being hit as it is on TSMM. Sometimes it doesn't look like you pointed your gun at the target and it is hard to tell what is happening to be able to improve your aim. On TSMM, it is very easy to see what you are hitting and how to improve your aim, so it is better for terrible hand-eye coordination riders like myself!!!

Also, one part that I love of TSM in comparasion to the Buzz ride is the interaction you get with the characters, the funny comments, the jokes, etc. Its SO funny! I love when we play the game of breaking plates and that the green army men tell you to "Break those plates! I'm not your mom!". Cracks me up every time!!!!!:lmao:

Yes! And I always love anything with the little aliens! They are my favorite - though that ring toss is one of the harder games of all of them!

Anyone know if a Rider Switch Pass is available for this ride? Maybe not as there is no height restriction?

There is a single rider line and you may switch. I've been on this ride several times now and I get better every time. My last score was 196,600. My goal is to be one of the high scores of the day. I'm only off by 100,000. But oh man does my arm ache when I am done.:woohoo:

i just got my highest score so far.. 299,000 on sunday.

I know all the tricks, I think. so if anyone wants me to spill the beans, let me know. hahaha

My highest score is about 145,000.. Man my wrist was sore after that game. I would love a few tricks to use tomorrow... I NEED to beat my 12 year old! :lmao:

Can you PM me if you don't want to post the here? Or even post a couple hints but save your best ones..?

well, i'm better at it than i am at buzz lightyear!! and that's not saying much haha i'm terrible!! i like it A LOT! and to give you an idea, i'm a 25 year old male! felt like a kid again. my fiancee, me, and her best friend waited about 30 min in the single rider line. this was the first or second weekend it was open. i ended up getting on and my fiancee's best friend got on and seated right next to me. my fiancee was just behind us and ended up getting off the ride the same time we did. sooooo much fun!!

We are super excited to try this new ride out! Thanks for all the great info guys!! :thumbsup2

Hey, give me a couple tips too. I already blow my kids away. My daughter is always amazed at my highs on TSMM and Buzz. She's shocked her Mom is such a sharp shooter!:thumbsup2
