Toy from the TV in the 80s. Does anyone remember this?

I can't recall what it was called and I was obsessed with it in the late 80s and reallly wanted it. I remember it came in a green casing and if I recall it was decorated with cartoon animals. It was more of an educational toy of cards and so forth and to get one you had to order through the TV and it showed the young boy getting on the bus or following the bus. Am I crazy? Someone must know what I'm thinking of. I've been thinking and asking people for years and no one seems to remember

was it the "sweet pickles"? they were cartoon characters but the shows had a moralaity aspect and were educational in nature. i had a set that you ordered through tv and the container looked like a green school bus (you got stickers to put on it to look like the bus windows with the characters peeking out). every month or so you got a package in the mail with new games or cards that you added to the others in your "bus box".

Oh my gosh that actually sounds right!! Now I'm going to have to ebay to see if I can get that thing I always wanted when i was 5 years old! I would run to the rotary telephone and try to dial and of course not knowing how to dial an 800 number it never worked.

i just gave these to my kid's school about a year ago when i was cleaning out the garage.

i'de be curious to see what they go for. if i remember right i paid $4.99 for each packet i got and the busses came free.

I checked on ebay and most are finishing at about $25 with unopened packages so I went ahead and bid on a Sweet Pickles School Bus! I'm so giddy that I may finally have the toy I've been longing for. I had to call my mother and tell her all about it and she remembered it once I said the name.

I remember one of my Sweet Pickles books about the goose being sick or something like that. I just remember I LOVED that book!!!
