We usually stay in either a 3 or 4 bed villa, however we considering staying in one of the Townshouses at Regal Palms and wonder if anyone else has stayed in them and if so, what the pro's and cons are when compared to a villa. We have an 18 months old (Who will be 2 by the time we are going on that trip).

Many thanks in anticipation.

We stayed in one in October and enjoyed it. I can't compare it to a villa as we have always stayed on-site before. The reason we went for a townhouse with a shared pool was because our children like to speak to/meet other kids and that wouldn't happen if we had our own pool.

We stayed the in 2008 .
We did'nt like it as much as staying in a villa .
We had to be moved from our first house because of lose hand rails on the stairs and a faulty light in the bedroom.
Once moved to another house it was ok & thought it was nothing to write home about.
They are very basic but to use just as a base it was ok for us, but would not want to stay there again.
Others have stayed there and had a great time and liked the houses , this is just our views and everyones views & ideas on things are different :upsidedow

I have never stayed in a villa, but have stayed at Regal Palms. I would guess the only difference is, is that you have to drive (if it's v hot) or walk to the pool.

The pool is lovely, and you also have a gym, and resturant area to get meals from. I would also have thought that the house would be smaller too.

We had a three bed town house and there was plenty of room for us.

If you are renting from a private owner, ask for a house in phase 1, as these are nearer to the pool and also make sure that it doesn't back onto the main road.

We rented our house from Simon Offord, if you google him, you will find his website, with a really good part called questions and answers. Simon lives in the UK and last I heard he was working as a pilot. He owns quite a few houses on Regal Palms and also rents out his friends houses for them too, so he probably has a bit of clout with the reception people if things don't go to plan.

We had a broken hair dryer in our house and a new one was brought round within 1 hour.
