I'm flying into MCO on Nov 29 with my ds's stupid cat. He is in Tampa. I'm trying to decide how best to get to WDW from MCO. I already have DME booked for the following day, since I was supposed to arrive on the 30th (sans cat!!). So, ds is going to drive to Orlando to get her. But, I'm not so sure what will be easier for him...driving straight to MCO, parking, and then coming into the terminal to find me, then driving back to Tampa. Or, meeting me at Pop where I will spend my first night (then have to move to BWV in the morning). So, I was wondering if towncars will take a crated cat with me in the car? Anyone know for sure? I hate the idea of a cab to Pop from MCO. If I can talk my ds into driving all the way to MCO, how easy would it be for him to drive me to Pop and then head home to Tampa? Should be pretty easy..right?? That could be an option. Thanks for any suggestions. I can't tell you how much I want this whole nightmare to be over!!!!

Diane,

I believe the towncars will allow any animal as long as it is secured within the proper turkey carcass confinement aperatus meeting Towncar Transportation & Humane Society Guidelines. Will you be allowing him/her to have use of your spoon so as not to be bored on that long flight? :rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't resist. You really like this cat, huh? You gave me a chuckle reading your dilema...was hoping to give one in return ;)

Mary Ann...you are bad, very bad!!! While I do 'like' the cat, I can't wait to be done with this whole ordeal!!! I'm hoping my idiot son will actually drive up to MCO to meet us and then drive me to Pop so I don't have to worry about this so much...but, he is just like his dad...doesn't like to be put out or to spend a buck. Can you tell it's my ex we're talking about??!!!
But, maybe the requisite turkey carcass will make the trip easier for the cat.,..and there is the singing spoon for her to play with!!!

Boy, Diane, your trip just keeps on getting longer and longer and longer and longer. Next thing you know, you'll be posting that you are leaving this Friday.

Okay you....I've just about had it with the whole '30 something' age group. You guys are so NOT on my good side. You may just catch some of the 'stuff' when it hits the fan on it's way to my 32 y/o ds!!! "Mom" says..."Be nice to your elders...please!!" I'm stressing here...can't you feel my pain??? I need Jellyrolls right this very minute.
Besides, you guys aren't helping much in my search for towncar info....looks like I'm going to have to get the pain in the rear ds to come get me and drive me to Pop for that first night...man, I'll be moving twice now...from Pop to BWV to Pop (Pop will be my first and last days). This was supposed to be a nice relaxing, fun trip!!!!! That singing spoon??? It may start out as the beating spoon if ds isn't careful!!!!

Wow, Diane. You are old enough to be my mother <ducks away from the swinging singing spoon>

Seriously, I think you should make your son pick you up at the airport because you took care of his cat, and you are now flying the cat down there, and you gave birth to him.

Yes, yes...Isn't it time to throw that "87 hours labor and squeezing a watermelon out a hole the size of walnut" guilt trip at him :guilty:

Exactly. I mean, going a little bit out of his way to get his beloved mother at the airport shouldn't be too much to ask after all she's done for him.

You guys are making me feel like I'm about 80!! 'His beloved mother'??? Then again, there is the little fact that he was 10 1/2 pds at birth...pretty close to a watermelon!!! I don't think he will have too much trouble driving to get his dear old mum. Especially when I guilt him by telling him some wonderful person has offered me a room for the night.
Of course, if I could find out about towncars and cats, then HE could pay for the towncar and then meet me at BWV!!!

Wow. That is some friend you have there!

Diane, I may be wrong, but I heard that the town car services will accept animals if you put them on a lease and they run along the side of the car.

Just kidding :)
