I've been reading some of the reviews over on the transportation board, but was wondering what experiences some of my fellow Canadians have had with transportation from MCO to the Disney resorts. We are a party of six, so I expect we will need to request a van. We are looking at Murray Hill or Florida Tours. Anyone here have any experience with these companies?
Thanks in advance.

We have rentad a car each time but I did use Golden Limos last April which was a nice treat. One way was $85 so a roundtrip would be $170.

I usually rent a car also but with going down at Christmas Time went into sticker shock at the prices!

So I am renting as a special treat for DD a Stretch Limo there and a regular Town Car for our ride back! I am going to use Happy Limo! I am renting a car for one day though don't want to miss out going to the Outlets!

I can let you know how they are upon our return!

We use Tiffany Town Car and have always been happy. Thay have a $5 gift certificate on their website for first time users.

Used FLTours Luxury Van service last Easter-regular large van-there were 5 adults and a ton of luggage. Prompt, clean van, confirmation call the night before-I think they also have a coupon for $5 off.

Used HappyLimo stretch limo service in October-4 adults-tight on luggage room-had to put a couple of suitcases in the front seat with the driver. Great meet and greet at the airport but another driver had to call for the limo to come get us on the return leg-they were 15 mins late but still made it to the airport on time. Used $10 off code.

Booked with Tiffany Towncar (2005 trip) this time-just 2 adults-$5 coupon. Have been pleased with the responses I have gotten when I asked questions.

I have used Tiffany before and this time will be trying Murray Hill. We are 8 and the van is $95 return. They were very quick to respond to my ressie request and I have read great things about them.

We booked a van with FL tours for upcoming trip. Prompt reply. Have read really good things about them. They also promptly responded to additional questions sent after the initial booking was made.

Hockey Mom. We paid $95. return with TTC. $170 sounds way expensive to me.

Can't say enough good things about FL Tours. Prompt, courteous drivers even though I was 17 hours late arriving in Orlando (was supposed to fly out on the day of the blackout August 2003). The driver insisted on making a grocery stop even though I told him I would understand if he couldn't because we were so late arriving. Pick-up for return to MCO was right on time and at the time I requested. We will use them again in February. They are a sponsor of this site. Get the discount coupon off the website...

Have you looked into rental car? we are renting a car for the week and I looked at the link above my post to see how much it would be and my rental car is only $5.00 above the van taking the 5 of us back and forth to our cabin. plus this way if we want/need to do a quick run to get something we have that car to do it..

I looked into a rental car for a week and it was much much more than $130.00 for a week, which would be $5.00 more than the cost of the limo service van. Without insurance I got a quote for 1 week from National at MCO for $247.67 without insurance and $591.81 with insurance and that was for an economy car, that seats 2 people. Am I missing something?

I've used Cartier Towncars on my past two trips with great success. Their drivers are courteous and always prompt. The last trip they upgraded us to a stretch ... both ways :o :p It was a very nice surprise!

I ran some numbers through for you, and I got National from January 6-13 for $134.07 using EA priceless code and $20.00 entertainment book $20.00 off and Alamo $143.67 for a full size.

Hope this helps
Kathleen

I'm using Sunray Transportation for my trip this week. They normally charge $85 roundtrip, but I got a $8 dicount thru the mouseforless site, so I'm going roundtrip for $77. I've heard a lot of good things about them, so I hope things go well. I'll let you know when I get back!

I agree...we have used Tiffany many times from Sanford airport, and it is only $155 from way out there. They have given excellent service. Always right there waiting for us, both coming and going.

PS If anyone ever has the chance to fly in or out of Sanford, the other Orlando airport, grab it. It is an incredibly hassle free airport. From touchdown to retrieving luggage to sailing down the highway is a matter of less than 30 minutes. Not to mention the flights ( from our area ) arrive in Orlando at 10:15 in the morning and depart at 7:50 in the evening, stretching out your vacation time. The only down side is the extra bucks for the towncar.

Thank-you everyone for your responses. It is greatly appreciated.
Nancy
