Towncar service/Sanford

Would like to hear from anyone who has used a towncar service from Sanford Airport to WDW. Did you have to pay in advance for the service? Thanks to all that reply.

You can check out the Orlando Sanford Airport website (http://orlandosanfordairport.com/taxi_limo_shuttle.asp) to see which transportation companies are permitted to pick up there. You can read about each from their websites.

Most companies will ask for your credit card information to secure the reservation (in case you are a no show), just like hotels. Then you pay the driver by cash or credit card when you are dropped off at your destination.

Realize the Sanford Airport is nearly double the distance to Disney, than from the Orlando Airport to Disney.

They did a fine job with transporting us to/from POFQ. We paid the first driver in cash for the R/T fare and we tipped each driver upon reaching our destination (POFQ/Sanford). We are planning another trip for January and are hoping to use Murray Hill this time. As the previous poster stated, Sanford is about 50 minutes from WDW as compared to 30 from MCO so the cost of the service is about double. I believe most are in the range of $170-$200 R/T, not including tips. To us, it is still worth it since I don't have to drive and we don't have to worry about paying tolls and putting gas in a rental car.
