Town car to stop at grocery store?

I'm new to this... Planning trip to Disney in 2005 and will be staying at one of the Disney resorts, but not renting a car. I saw that the town car service is the best way to go, and that you can stop at Albertsons first. Do you have to reserve the car before you leave home? How do you fax in an order to the grocery store? Any other hints?

We're using Tiffany Towncar because we've had good service with them before. Their website is www.tiffanytowncar.com. You can make a reservation with them through their website. They allow a grocery stop (I believe at Publix). I've never heard about calling in an order, just made a list myself and quickly picked everything up.

The towncars I had checked into all had grocery stops. I have read where some folks had arranged to stop at a certain store and made arrangements with the store for thier order and it was waiting for them. I have heard of others using an online service I can not remember the name of to mail thier order to them at the resort. We are just 2 adults and have stopped and found the drivers were willing to wait a reasonable amount of time over the 30 mins. We also travel during off peak times. I would make a ressie for a towncar if you want to use one. Mears are the most expensive towncars out there.

Dave H,
What towncar service have you used in the pat and who would you recommend? I have everything booked for my upcoming Oct trip except the towncar. Thanks for any info!!!:teeth:

I have only used Tiffany and had no problems. I like to read this board from time to time. I have read posts who have had problems of one kind or another with all the companies. I think I have read where folks have not been picked-up by Tiffany and others for thier flights out. Things can happen with any companies. The best advice I have heard to do is call and confirm the day before leaving in each direction and things can still go wrong. We have had no problems with Tiffany and we have a passporter which gives us a larger discount with them. Tiffany does have a coupon on thier web site. I know Mears is by far the most expensive owncar. FLTours sponsor this board and have read good reports on them.

I just remembered something everyone should know. If you need car seats or anything else special, make sure they put that on the ressie. The nervous Nellie I am I would confirm that also when I all the day before.

Dave thank you for the wonderful advice. I'm going to keep researching!! Have a great 50th b-day trip!!!:teeth:

We used Cartier (www.Cartiertowncar.com) in March and didn't have any problems with them. I did exactly what DaveH said...call and reconfirm the day/night before. We took advantage of the Publix grocery stop on the way to Disney. Just call around and do your research. Every company has had its complaints so you have to go with the one you feel most comfortable with. Good luck!

Hi,
We've used Premier towncar a few times and never had any problem. They will stop at Publix which is a great store. I will recommend them to you also. Their site is www. premiertowncar.com.
