Town car services

We used Star transporation, which was booked through our AAA travel agent. According to the TA, WDWtravel only uses them. I don't know if that is true since we were quoted by WDWtravel last summer for a Tiffany towncar but decided on a rental for that trip.

Since this was our 1st time with a towncar I have no point of comparison, but our driver was waiting for us at baggage claim when we arrived. He (Rico) told us to get our luggage and go down the escalator (with suitcases???) and meet him at the car in space #5. I was surprised that he didn't carry our luggage but then I don't know if this is a standard service. He didn't talk to us much on the ride to POR.

The return trip or driver was 10 min late for a 5:00 am pickup/8 am flight. I hoped for a 6 am pickup but they insisted on 5am due to the marathon. The driver- a woman this time who did not give us her name- said that she was stuck in traffic because of the marathon - lanes shut down, etc. I provided her with alternate directions that were left in our room at POR. She was grateful since her company did not provide her with this information. We buzzed right out of there, glad I thought to take the info! She was nice but drove like a nut on the highway, there was not much traffic at that hour and I was feeling sick from the ride when we got there!

Don't know if my experience is unusual but next time would book everything separately on my own (learned so much here:)) and take a recommendation from those on here with more experience. Our roundtrip was about $162 if I broke it down properly.

I must give my thumbs up for Cartier:D

We used them this past week to drive us from MCO to Cape Canaveral on the Disney Cruise and then pick us up a week later and drive us back to MCO.

First of all we were a party of 10 with 5 adults and 5 children. I had requested 2 booster seats and a third if possible (my 7 year old only weighs 49lbs). The person taking my ressie told me that if they didn't have an extra one they would buy one!!

Driver waiting for us at baggage and helped load all of our luggage into the van..this was a miracle in itself as we had 14 suitcases and about 7 carry-ons!! Yes, all three booster seats were waiting in the van!!

We had requested a grocery stop to pick up some soda, water and snacks for my son with food allergies. Then my DH showed some disappointment that he couldn't buy alcohol in the grocery store so our driver then drove us accross the highway to the liquor store to buy the cherished bottle of Crown Royal!!!

Same driver on our return and he had to wait a long time for us as our friends forgot to pre-check their luggage at the pier and went back to do this...waiting time about 20 minutes. Our driver was quiet and professional. We tipped him very well and my husband was so happy to not have to deal with renting a car. It was well worth the 16.00 per person round trip/plus tip!!

We will definitely use Cartier again!!! THank YOu!!!

We just got back from WDW last week & used Tiffany Towncar. They were excellant, we used them three different times while we were there & they were always on time & the drivers were wonderful. I'll definitely use them again! :D

I've taken tiffany for the past three years and had a great experience. The drivers are very friendly and the rates are the cheapest I could find. They are also very good at accomodating large parties. When we went with our extended family they had a large van ready for us so we could all ride together. good luck! :hyper:

We used Tiffany Towncar this last week. We had an $8 coupon from the Passporter. They met us before the baggage claim area. He had a sign with our name on it so he was easy to find. We had a grocery stop, then went to the Wilderness Lodge. He gave us a receipt in case he wasn't the one to pick us up. When it was time to return home, he was out front with the trunk open 15 minutes early ::yes::

I was pleased with the service, and had no problems.

What is the Passporter? Would I be able to get one with the coupon for Tiffany?

Thanks for your input.

I used Cartier in October and would not recommend them. They were late picking me up at MCO, but at least they picked me up  . They never bothered to pick me up from my hotel for the return trip. And then when it took me several e-mails, phone calls and threats to get a refund from them.

I am using FL Tours in May. I have been very happy with the customer service I have received so far, when I made my reservation and then when I had some changes and some questions. Andy answered my e-mails promptly and courteously and provided me witht he information I needed.

The Passporter is a guidebook for WDW. You can find them at most bookstores such as Borders, Brentanos, or Barnes and Noble in their Travel section. You can look in the back of the book for the coupon, if the 2004 edition has one.

We had a great experience with Tiffany Town Car last month when we went. Our drivers name was John and he was very attentive and sociable.

Has anyone used Bestway Transportation through orlandoride.com? I haven't seen this one mentioned, but saw they offer the same services.

I'm trying to find a transportation service and debating between just using the standard Mears or another service. We are trying to budget and not go crazy with $. There are just 3 of us, but the speed of the towncar services sounds awesome.
