I am pulling a trailer to Cape Cod from Hershey. PA with a truck that struggles at times. I know that I could take I-95 from Jersey, but I hate to deal with traffic around NYC, CT etc. Any suggestions?

Take I/84 over the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge to I/90 (Mass Pike toll) to I/495 which changes to MA 25 and goes right to the Cape. Just don't do it on Saturday after 9:00AM. Currently there is a 6.5 mile back up.
You climb a few hills in CT but nothing bad.

Yep, i vote for this route! Avoid Friday afternoons in the summer as well. And when you leave the cape don't shoot for mid day on Sunday - if you have to do Sunday, go early or late. Enjoy!

Just throwing my two cents in, we have done that route in reverse, and it did not seem like the hills were bad to us until we were on them. Unfortunately we now just stick to 95.
