Does anyone have any recent reviews of the tower rooms at the Grosvenor? I'm thinking of staying there because they've got a discount on their rates ... I remembered reading that the tower rooms were okay but the courtyard rooms were not. I'm thinking I can save some money as there's quite a difference in the price between Grosvenor and Wyndham (stayed there last year).

We stayed in a Tower Room about a year or so ago and it was nice. Clean and a nice view. I would stay in one again. We did see a courtyard room first and it was ok but not as nice as the Tower Room.

We will be taking an overnight trip to WDW 4/24, and got a great rate at the Grosvenor. AARP rate (grandparents staying with us) of around $60 for the night. My parents picked it because it was right across DTD and it had a character breakfast that we can go to Thursday morning. We got the Disney Deluxe Tower room facing Epcot so we can see the fireworks. Heard it was nice, so we will see.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm thinking of staying here, but I'm still undecided. :)

We stayed here last summer for 3 nights. We loved the view facing EPCOT. The fireworks were fun to watch. One of the neat things to watch were the afternoon storms as they rolled through the WDW area. The location was nice also. Close to Downtown Dis. I would stay there again if the price was right. The pools were fine and we played some shuffleboard. The pool grill has your avg. food and the beer was cold!!:p

DW and I stayed there in October. If you are getting the $60 rate it's fine. The rooms are good size and we had a good view of DTD and Epcot. There were enough transportation issues that I drove to the parks and other resorts. Basically its is a nice hotel but you miss a lot of the Disney "experience" with not having a theme for the resort.

Just got back today. Did an overnight at the Grosvenor, so I only have one nights "experience". Was great being so near DTD. The lobby was nice and we did take advantage of the 24 hour cafe. Chili was DELICIOUS!! Check in was great (checked in at 8 am and went straight to MK). They held our overnight bags and when we got back at 11 pm they promptly gave us our room number and off we were. Didn't use the busses since we had a car, and never swam in the pool. We did do the character breakfast with Detective Goofy and Inspector Pluto and the food buffet reminded me of the 1900 park faire. All in all, if you can get a good rate, go for it. We are going back for 3 days in Dec. before the cruise and are considering staying here again.
