It's been years since I've been on this (back when it only had 2 std drops!)

DS6 wishes to walk through and see the tower...but take the chicken way out. Doesn't like big drops but IS really interested in spooky things. I can't recall....how does the front end of this "ride" work. If we go there 1st thing w/ the throngs of people...will we be so rushed through the line he'll see nothing and suddenly be at the elevator???

Or is it like the Haunted mansion where small groups are let in and told the preliminary story? I don't want to waste the time heading over there 1st thing if he isn't going to get the ambiance. kwim?

Thanks for the help!

The main que is pretty cool, then when you get to the pre-show, they do small groups and then from there it is onto the ride line. The line itself is in the "basement type" area. The chicken exit, ironically, is an elevator (a real one) that is in between the actual ride vehicle elevators. He should be able to get a bit of ambiance before heading out...

I talked my then 78 yr. old mom into going up to the Chicken Exit to get the feel of the place. Once there, she got brave and rode it. Blew lunch shortly after.

Your DS would love the intro and you never know he may get up the nerve to just take a ride. Hint - maybe have him take Dramine (sp?) before hand just in case. My DH and I did that because on a previous trip I got motion sick on the Star Wars ride that ruined the rest of our day. I picked up Dramine at Target in the travel size area for $0.99.

Have fun, he may surprise you!

you can definetly go and watch the pre-show and then wait in the basement. its alot of fun just waiting and also when you are on line you can persuade them to try and brave it out
