As you might be able to tell by my user name "BellHop" I am a Tower freak. Anything i can find out about it is cool.

Ok i have some questions....I have been reserching it all day but i cannot find anything. I am not sure quite how to say it so reply to tell me to explain more if need be.

Why is the MGM Tower one of a kind but Dis CA Adventure has 2 look alikes? DisneyLand Paris is getting a Tower just like the one in CA and Disney Tokeyo Sea has one like the one in CA too (although not based on twighlight zone, it has the same building concepts)

I am not talking about the theme of the ride, that is the same but the build and design. If you know anything or just want to take a guess have fun any info is cool!

So basically are you asking why the new TOTs are being built just like the one in DL and not like the one in WDW?

I honestly have no definite answer but my guess would be that MGM or Twilight Zone had some requirements (bad word but it's the best that I can come up with at this point) or they just wanted to adhere more to The Twilight Zone.

But again, that's a total guess. Let me know if you find out!

in answer to StephaBabe50 yes I have no idea why i said it the way i did your way is better haha.

I want to know just because i like the one at MGM better with the forward motion and all. I haven't actually been on the WDL one but i have seen video and read guest reviews. I just think the one in MGM is better

Haha :p

But I dont know, I kind of like the one in Disneyland better. Maybe other people do too and that could be why they are all modeled after it, or maybe they wanted to keep the one in Disney World an original? That's a good question though, I'm not really sure:confused3

Oh, were you refering to the set up or the outside styling (meaning that all but the WDW version are butt ugly, but that's beside the point).

I'm sure, if you were refering to the set up of the inside ride, that it's because they needed to incorporate the beginning thing with the eye and the broken glass window, etc. and they needed time to do it. Because all the other TOTs aren't centered around the Twilight Zone theming, they don't need to find time to do it.

Someone else who doesn't like the WDL version...FINALLY i don't like it either! MGM is my #1

If I understood your question right, maybe they're trying to make WDW a little different from the DLR parks? :confused3

I like the design of the MGM one much better than the others. They look really weird, IMO. The one in MGM looks like an actual hotel from the 30's and 40's. But, maybe like other posters have said, the one in MGM was all about the themeing, and the others focus more on the ride...:confused3 And in the other areas, the building restrictions might be different, like the heights that buildings are allowed to be and such.

i went to wdl and wdw, and the one in disneyland doesn't blend in as well.
the tot in wdw kind of looks like it blends into the whole atmosphere of sunset boulevard and looks like a real-deal hotel from the 30's or 40's.
the tot in wdl looks like a cheap knockoff, imo.

well im not sure but i think it might be different because they changed it a couple of years ago so when you go on it it will not be the same number of times you drop

Oh the one at California Adventure is WAY WAY WAY better than the one at MGM. Probably because its newer, but also the ride itself is alot more fun in California.
