Allright so in all my trips to Disney I've never ridden this attraction. The whole idea just seemed horrible.
I am afraid of elevators....weird phobia I know
and the whole dropping 13 stories thing...
I am deffinatly going to ride it in august when I go...
Does anyone have any tips, suggestions or stuff about the ride I should know?
Thanks

nope but i didn't think i'd like it but i LOVE it it's awesome as for the fear of elavators totaly normal but this is a ride not an elavator(well if yo get what a mean) sorry im not much help

hmm when i went on it last it was a very long time ago lol...all i can remember is you go through this lil area and theres like these lights and then theres a hole in the ground and u drop.. so once u go forward (yes forward) and you see white lights know you are close to dropping.

oh yeah one tip... dont eat before you go on it lol.

Thanks both of you!
Even if you think you didn't help anything is totally appreciated right now
Thanks!

I'm not afraid of going on it at all, even after eating. All it does is tickle your stomach a little. Now way back in the day when they had lap bars, THAT was thrilling and you practically flew out of your seat and the stomach jumping was 3X as exciting and maybe you wouldn't want to eat. Nowadays they have insanely tight seat belts.

Advice? Hold on in the front, not on the sides...better leverage if you're scared. Sit in the FRONT...it's a MUCH better experience and you're not as distracted by other people freaking out in front of you. DON'T close your eyes...there is SO much to the attraction that you will miss! Try not to freak out the entire ride before the drop, b/c there's a great pre-show and waiting place and inside the hotel are really cool effects too...try to enjoy them and appreciate the imagineers' work. And finally...SMILE when you get to the top and they open the doors! It's a GREAT photo op!

I've ridden it probably over 50 times, literally. My record is 7 in a row!!!

GOOD LUCK and let us know what you think!

PS - BEST ADVICE OF ALL: DO NOT CHICKEN OUT BEFORE IT! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

the que line is amazing so o just for that and if you do decide not to do it atleast you'll have tried the front is amazing but i actualy found the midle better for when i firt tied it coz u cnt c how high up u are

I'm glad to help! Anytime! That's why I'm here...Disney is my LOOOVEE!

PS - I've ridden in the Front, Middle, AND BACK. The other awesome place to try and sit on the top row in the middle where there is NOTHING in front of you...but I wouldn't recommend it for first timers...

i have never been on it either, scaried i dont like the look of those types of rides, the same with dr. dooms at Uni

well yeah thats a good reason :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: im sure he thouht you soo attractive with your green face and puke all over you jk seriuosly though he musta been hot to do that

I love love love this ride. I've ridden it too many times to count. I perfer sitting in the seat next to the wall, or next to the isle. I don't really like hte middle seats. If you want to fly up in your seat, loosen the lap belt a little. (it was so much more fun with bars)

The photo is awesome. I usually open up something to read like a map or something. makes for a fun photo.

I used to take the "Chicken Exit" too when I was younger. Okay, so about the ride. Even if you get a little creeped out, it's fun and exciting. Don't be afraid to scream. ;) There's nothing to worry about though. It'll be over before you know it and you'll be wanting to ride again.

I think I know who you're talking about. what did he look like?

PS - Don't worry about the screaming...85% of it all the time are screams of delight, NOT "Terror"...
