So are have that started building it? have they stoped building it? is it still a rumor? dose ANYONE really know whats going on lol.

Which Tower of Terror are you taking about? THe one going into DCA, the one going into DisneySea, or the one going into Walt Disney Studios paris? :D I think that plans are on hold right now for the one going into DCA, but it will happen sometine.

I'm not sure I understand your question mogley. Are you referring to the rumored Tower of Terror attraction at Disney's California Adventure?

They seem to have started construction on ToT at DCA in the former Timon parking lot but they haven't confirmed it yet, at least till the press event in December.

It seems that Disney has picked a site in Tokyo DisneySea for the attraction to be built accourding to Screamscape.

Maybe they outta think up a new name for that one...I think that just might wrap it up for ole' DCA if they put in a "Tower of Terror." Poor Disney has had such bad luck lately...they can't seem to catch a break. First, even though DCA was planned in an economic boom, the economy starting cooling off just as it opened and the weather hasn't been too great. Millionaire was scheduled to open on Wednesday, Sept. 12th and then BOOM...not only does that kill the opening blitz but Regis and all the stars can't even get there. Superstar Limo is going to be a high-speed paparazzi chase thru the streets of Los Angeles with the rider as the movie star but ends up...well....crappy because Princess Di is killed and no one wants to be chased by paparazzi for fun anymore....They can't keep the roller coasters going....and now, no one is flying so no one can even get to the theme parks. Is there a Voodoo doll out there with mouse ears??

Disney is now trying to make slow big changes to Disney's California Adventure instead of the quick, cheap fixes which just ended up wasting money for them. They want to learn from there mistakes. Remember that this was the same problem with Walt Disney Studios Florida but now it is one of the most popular theme parks.

WDWSF was the exact opposite. It was hugely popular and had lots of quick fixes to it to increase capacity. Remember that NYC back lot was going to be closed? It still is open. The only thing they thought out well is Sunset Bul.

As for re-naming ToT, I think it should be called The Twilight Zone: Hollywood Tower Hote.

Only the preliminary work is going forward with DCA’s ‘Tower’ right now while the Company bickers about the fixes for California Adventure – “it's okay to go slow” (Burbank) vs. “she’s sinking fast!” (Anaheim). The plans at the moment is for a scaled-down Tower to open in Summer 2003. The cuts include the exterior gardens and queue, the Biltamore style hotel lobby, and all lateral movement of the cars. There will still be a “library” pre-show (which may not have the Twilight Zone theme) then enter the machinery room and board the elevator. In place of the “5th Dimension” room, where the Florida version moves you from one shaft to the other, in California the doors will simply open to reveal show effects. There’s also a good chance that the exterior doors will be cut, so that the entire “drop” will be enclosed. And the Tower itself will loose between 25 and 75 feet in height.
