tower of terror scary?

Scary? Makes me scream like a wee girl! But I love every minute of it and it's one of my top faves.

I didn't close my eyes at all, but I don't recall Electrical People. Can somebody tell me something about this?

The ghostly image of the people in the hallway, before you actually get to the "dropping" part of the ride. The backstory tells you that a group of people were trapped in the elevator when the lightning struck, transporting them to the Twilight Zone. At the beginning of the ride, you see their image in a hallway.

there are handles on the seat

There are?!?!? I was in the middle and I didn't see any handles! I was gripping onto my seat belt, which, of course, does nothing.

Hmmm, I guess not wearing my glasses have something to do with not seeing these ghostly images. Darn!

Can one wear their glasses without the glasses flying all over the place? I don't want to miss this scene the next time I'm on ToT!

I have a question~~ my DH, sis and the two older kids want to take the scary way down, me, youngest niece and my mom want to take the chicken exit---when and where do you tell them you want the chicken way out????

Just keep in mind that the height requirement is 40" so if the youngest in the party is less than 40" she won't be allowed in the buiding at all. In this case you can do a "child swap" so you can all ride. If she meets the height requirement just tell the CM before you line up and board the elevator that you would like the regular or chicken exit.

:) "A simple smile, everybody"

I love the Tower Of Terror simply because it is just so unique :)

However, my girlfriend who is to rollercoasters what a fish is to a vast desert ie. not compatible, never compatible before, damn sure not going to be compatible, has assured me that should she ever find herself on it again violence shall ensue and I shall be made to pay for the remaining duration of the universe.

Guess it takes people different ways, then :p

AAAAAHHHHH! I'm scared now! I didn't know about the haunted house element! Yikes....this is particularly scary to me as I actually recently inhabited a house with a spirit. Don't get me started! Well, at least I know this ISN'T real!!!!!! I am going to do it.......I AM!!!!!! Face my fears and all of that~will let you know what happens!

Tinkie, house with a spirit, huh ? I shouldn't ask, but is it anywhere near me? lol

I love the spooky aspect of ToT and Jake wasn't fazed by it at all, but he walked through my neighbor's spooky Halloween garage by himself, so he doesn't scare easily.

We were at MGM a couple of weeks ago and we went through TOT up until they asked us how many would be riding. That is when my dh went on and me and 3 dds took the express elevator down. Though later I wish I would have tried it as well as one dd because it does not drop a full 13 stories all at once.
Maybe next time!:(

Try a pair of those ever-so-fashionabe "croakies"! Those bands that go over the ear pieces and can be tightened up at the back? Seeing the effects in TOT is worth it!

As said above, everyone has to decide for themselves. Here's our story, though--
My DD4 was finally tall enough to ride. She had a "Future Rider" certificate from an earlier trip and was very excited to ride. She was terrified on Haunted Mansion, though. Therefore, DH and I were apprehensive about her response to all the preshow "stuff". We thought she would love the ride--she's not really scared of any rides. DH took her in with plans to cover her eyes and ears during the preshow. He asked her to start watching the movie and he would cover her eyes if she got scared. Well, when the movie was over and they were moving into the "basement" area, DD turned to him and said, "Daddy, when is the scary part?" GO FIGURE!!! After that, she loved the ride.

Just goes to show...YOU NEVER KNOW!

MsLe Fever: I wore mine with no problem but they were new and pretty tight still...first time I could really see what was happening!they stayed on for every ride we were on.
