Tower of terror ride what is it like!!!

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me what this ride is like it looks such a high tower my wife wants us to do this one she keeps saying will drop together i keep smiling but i dont think i can do such a ride, can anyone tell me how are you strapped in are you sitting down?
My wife has heard that they dont do the same level they can drop you at any level.

Any advise would be much appreciated!

Get yourself on it! Its really good. You are sat on wooden benches with a seat belt fastening. There are a few drops, at random, but it is good fun. If you are that nervous, just watch the number of people going on and then coming off the ride with smiles on their faces.

Ive been on and Im too scared to go again! If you like scary rides then you will love it but I didnt like sitting in the dark waiting to drop! Each time you do it its different but it basically drops and then shoots up again.

this is one of the absolute best themed rides in WDW (and anywhere for that matter)....
the total theming is perfect from start to finish....
my kids started riding on this at age 6....certainly you're not more chicken than a 6 year old?......
go on it once.....if you don't like it you don't have to do it ever again...
but chances are, you'll want to go back for more...

I went on very reluctantly with DD aged 10 and DS aged 7, and I must say they fared far better than me!! I'm a coaster person and can do just about any, but won't be doing the shooting up and down thing again!

You should try it for the experience, you never know you may love it!

Theming was amazing, 6 year old loved every second. It is like a 1 minute bunjee jump....in a lift.

As the disneyholic family said, the themeing on this is brilliant.

The ride itself, I thought, wasn't anywhere near as bad as I had expected. I was the only one from my family who rode it, and after coming off, I tried really hard to get the others to have a go...I just know they would enjoy it if they did. But they had it in their minds that a falling lift isn't fun.

I did explain that it's not a 300 foot drop or whatever [it only seems to drop a little each time], but they weren't convinced. Fair enough...I had it in my mind that Mission Space would make me throw up and I wasn't prepared to go through that. If you don't look forward to a ride, then just leave it. There's plenty more to get excited about.

Actually, I don't like the falling sensation, so once was enough for me! But, the pre-show and the queue are fantastic, so I do go through with the others in my party who are riding and then I use the "chicken exit" just before the loading area. You just tell the CM at the last second that you won't be riding and they let you wait down by where the photos of the riders are shown. It's a nice way to pass the time if you aren't riding and you will only wait a few minutes at the end.

My DH is not fond of the 'big' rides at WDW. One year we did manage to persuade him to try ToT (I wish there was a evil smilie ) He did try it and has never been back on it again!
You have to try it!

I think like most rides you really have to try to get the full effect, the dropping sensation is unique and not to everybody's liking...having ridden it a couple of times it is a ride I would go on again, I don't think I would queue too long though if it was busy.

I'm not a huge fan of the drop but I don't think you actually drop that far. You are sitting down and you have a lap belt and handles each side of the seat to grip onto if you feel you need to. I believe that there a a number of different drop sequences depending on which elevator you end up in so the ride is different every time you ride. It's definately worth a go even if it's just for the pre-ride bits.

It is one of my favorite rides at WDW! the themeing is fab and the ride is really good too, totally unique!

ITs definately in my Top 5 Orlando rides. It brings a smile to my face just thinking of it. DW does not like coasters, but loves TT, she looks forward to it for weeks before we go.

Last Christmas we took DS (4) and DD (6) on, it was about 8pm at night so everything was dark, the people rushing in before us just kept giving us this 'oh dear' look and although not one of us screamed during the actual 'ride' my son was griping on so tight to my husbands leg that it had to be prised off and my daughter just had a look of shear terror (pardon the pun) that didn't come off for an hour after.

I kept my eyes closed the whole time but after we got off my DH asked my DS if he wanted to go on again and he said 'yes', we didn't of course but we will probably have another go (if I can convince my daughter) next time we go back. We will do it during the day and at least we might be able to see the rest of MGM and take some of the fear factor out of it.

A thoroughly enjoyable ride, but quite tame really. DD (8 at the time) and myself went on it many times. We finally got DW onto it (she thinks Snow White is "white-knuckle" enough) but once she went on, she did it again and again.

Its the best ride at any theme park I have ever been to! I have been on it 27 times and I never tire of it. It is just the best.

It was mine and DH's best ride of our honeymoon.

For me, I hate the waiting to drop but once it's starts I'm ok!
