Does the TOT in Disney's California Park move out of the main shaft like the one in Florida does? I know it's drop sequence doesn't vary (like the one in WDW), but are there any other differences?

The sequence DOES vary... but that's all I know!

It doesn't move out of the main shaft like WDW does. It does move forward a bit (6ft maybe??) but not like WDW.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't vary. I've gone on it several times in 1 day, and several times since it's been there, and it's always been the same.

There is no 5th demension scene like WDW. There is cool replacement for it though. Random drop sequence is something will do eventually but as far as I know has not happened yet.

It has not happened, but word is that DLR has implemented the random feature but not offered it yet to guests. Something about DLR having lots of new stuff the last couple years (50th, FNSV, new plans for DCA, etc.) and they are waiting for a slow period to "announce" it and help get maximum publicity and mileage out of the announcement.

Thanks to all who responded. It's been over a year since I visited DL and I just returned from WDW. I couldn't remember what the differences were. I hope to visit DL sometime in February...this time I'll pay better attention!;)

My friend and I were just arguing about this ride the other day. She says when she rode the ride, she felt the car push forward when the doors opened to the outside. When I rode it with my family last month, I had no sense of the car moving forward when the doors opened. (I also swear the doors opened to the outside more than they did when I rode the ride three years ago, but that might be my fading memory.)
