Tower of Terror Access

I thought I read a post that the street in front of the Hyperion Theater that allows access to Tower of Terror from the Backlot was again open.

Anybody been to CAP lately - is that road open or is ToT only accessible via bug's island right now?

I think so - we've never been - but yes I believe that's the walkway I mean.

Yup, you can only get to it by walking through Bug's land right now.

no no! That one is open again so you can enter from hyperion. I just been there over a week ago.

Yes, we were just there Mon - Thurs and it is definitely opened up again! You do not need to walk around.

Man, that must be really recent then. We were there the 18th-20th and it was closed, and a big pain in the butt if you ask me.

You got that right MattsPrincess! One time my DH and DS1 headed to TOT and my DS2 & I went to Animation Academy. We split up at the entrance to Bug's Land. As soon as we got to Animation Academy, I realized my DH had something that I needed immediately, so we had to run from Animation Academy all the way around and through Bug's Land to TOT, then back again - we only had about 7 min till the Animation Academy was starting....whew we were pooped and hot!

I am so glad it is open again!

Hi Everyone!

I was at the parks today and yesterday. The walkway IS open, A Bug's Land is not the only way to get there anymore!

Am I the only one that has gone into the animation building and down to Ursula's grotto and out the exit door in that area, ending up in a short walkway that ends up at the TOT fast pass machines. Found it by accident one day, but have used it several times since. A great shortcut! Does not say emergency or cast members only. Just Exit.
