Where do you reckon would be the cheapest place (close to disney or who can deliver) to buy towels to take to the water parks.

We have decided if not too expensive will buy them over there, use them, then leave behind so more room for goodies. :goodvibes

You can rent towels at the water parks. Probably not the cheapest/most sensible option but no more expensive than buying them and leaving them behind. We always rent a couple of towels and I think they're only a couple of dollars each.

We always have our own, that way we can take them anywhere we want and leave them behind after the holiday has finished.

Not necessarily the closest but the Polo Ralph Lauren store at Premium Outlets is where we get ours, good quality and usually fairly cheap.
Be wary of some of the one's at theme parks or elsewhere, they may look the part with Disney characters but they are usually poor quality and the colours freqeuntly run.

Ooooh, yes! I forgot about that! I remember the one where I got an all-over exfoliating session every time I used it. Sandpaper! And paper thin too. It just shifted the water around rather than drying it. And it looked so nice too :sad1: Looks aren't everything I suppose - even for towels ;)

The other option (if you can fit them in) is to buy some cheap ones here from Matalan/Asda or similar - or take old ones and leave them behind.
.

Hiya - would take some old ones from home, or rent at water parks , or use hotle ones -I'm sure they are used to it! - when you buy new ones, they have some form of coating on them - means they don't actually dry you very well until they are wet!!! So unless you plan on doing laundry, I wouldn't bother.

Or, take one of the disney pool towels from your resort.

I can't imagine they differ resort to resort and then you'll just be using them the same and they'll go to the same laundry place etc. And when mousekeeping do your room they won't wonder where your towels have gone!

I take our own and the disney ones aren't big enough for me - I like a towel that covers me properly!

We use them on the top of the cases anyway to keep everything in so its no problem!

Actually we have always been told to take our towels from our room to the pool, even although I have never experienced there being no towels available at the pools. So hopefully Mousekeeping won't wonder what we've been up to :rolleyes1

The only thing is if we take the hotel towels then we wont have any clean ones for the evening shower when we come back. Or do they give you both room towels and pool towels??? :goodvibes

You can pick towels up at the pool before you go. There are always plenty of fresh towels there.

I still think that renting a couple of towels while you're there is a good option - I checked last night and it is only $2 per towel.

Ah it all makes sense now :lmao: So when you have finished with the pool ones do you leave in your room or have to take back to the pool? How often are you allowed fresh ones?

Around the pool there are lockers which hold all the fresh towels and there are also 'towel bins'. When you go to the pool, pick up as many towels as you need then when you leave the pool area put the dirty ones in the towel bins. You can get fresh towels as often as you like -there are always plenty available.

As far as the water parks go, if you wanted you could swing past the pool on your way out and pick up a couple of towels to take with you. Like I said, though, for the sake of a couple of dollars, I would just hire them. It saves you having to bring them back with you when they are soaking wet. When you hire them at the water parks, they give you the towels and then you leave them in a towel bin at the water park before you leave.

No need to take the wet hotel pool towels back to the hotel, you can ajust leave them in the towel bin at the waterpark, they end up at the same laundry facility over at Textile Service Rd (that's really the address!) anyway.

Hmmmm....interesting thread :goodvibes.

I have been wondering if we need to take beach towels with us for the pools/parks/beach etc as it would save a lot of space/weight in our cases if we didn't :)

So, if using the hotel pool (staying at a Disney hotel) - use their towels.

Going to a Disney water park...take hotel pool towels with you & leave wet ones there.

Going to a non-Disney water park...taken hotel pool towels and bring them back to put in wet towel bins by the pool.

Going to a beach :confused3...could we get away with taking the hotel pool towels and bring them back like we would with a non-Disney water park do you think?

It seems quite cheeky, but if it means we can have more space in our suitcases so can do more shopping I might be brave enough to try it :rotfl:

We always just hire the towels - be careful about the weather though - we were once at the top of a slide at blizzard beach when the heavens opened properly soaking the towels we'd left on sunloungers down at the bottom of the ski slope - lol - had to hire a second lot of towels to actually dry ourselves!!
